  • I remember you and ManikWorld and the others trust your edits. Just need a reference in case someone changes it and we are too busy and don't notice it.

Lately, we had folks changing things regarding translations for Chinese like red to crimson for some reason and other languages. No reason or ref were provided.

    Thanks.

    • What do you have in mind by a reference? Like a dictionary link for each Arabic word? Or do you mean a different thing? If you mean "make sure you leave an edit summary", I will make sure to do so if I somehow did miss saying so in the edit.

    • Not for every word. Like:

This name is based on that. [1]

I do realize that's too much work. Maybe, we can make a wiki page for Arabic names to serve as a reference point.

I'm not sure if you had any trouble in the past with anyone disputing your work. I thought this "hub wiki page" might help if needed.

You don't have to do it. I don't think we had changes right now since the wiki activity is dying even though others believe it will kick up. Sorry for the added work.

Very late, but I'd be eager to make a reference page of some kind.

      Is there any way you'd advise I order/form the page? Should I make a table of some kind? If so, what should I use for columns? {Name} - {Arabic Original (in grammatally correct form)} - {Literal Arabic translation} - {Comment(?)}

    • It's up to you.

      This is what I had.

      • English spelling of the Arabic words w/ hyperlinks to it wiki page
      • Arabic characters
      • Literal Arabic translation - good suggestion, I never thought about that.

Don't think we need a comment since you provided the explanation on that wiki page already.

  • Hello Raigerzo!, I was wondering how do you know which are going to be the new spellings of the countries. Where did you find this information?

  • By any chance, you know a source that has a good schedule list of Japanese releases, mags and manga or anyone who might help me out?

    Thank you

  • Since the only person who knows Japanese at Sket Dance Wikia is absent, I had trouble helping one of my teammates. She's confused whether she has the right Japanese characters. I included my response which I looked up online. See link.

For the lastest chapter titled "Toki no Kaze ni Notte" I noticed that the kanji toki are formed by two kanjis. The first kanjis is read "toki". You also know right, that Sket Dance's chapter title is always written in furigana. The kanji that has 'ki' above it, I can't found what it is. Therefore, I don't know if the translation was right. I also saw "ー" after "tte". Can you please correct it? Thanks :D

Err and my English is bad sorry ._.

I don't see any furigana, all I see is kanji. Toki is made up of two different kanji, but it is read as 'toki,' not the two kanji it's made up of. You can tell becasue the kanji for sun is skinnier than what it would be if the kanji was separate. I'm not sure about the "-" after the "tte." Taka shichea 04:36, December 24, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for your help. I usually leave the Japanese chapter titles to Utipintar and the others. I have no idea where to find them or how to read them.

    Edit:

Weird it didn't save the actual text.

  • Thanks for all the etymology. On pages where there is no Gallery, can you make a Trivia section and put the etymology under that? Like I did on Zetulz Etul Zaraam
