Alibaba Saluja (アリババ・サルージャ, Aribaba.Sarūja) is the former third Prince of Balbadd. He was working as a Cart Driver when he first met Aladdin. He is the owner of the Djinn, Amon. Alibaba was the leader of the Fog Troupe. He is a Dungeon Capturer, capturing one Dungeon, and Aladdin's King Candidate. He is one of the main characters of the series Magi.

AppearanceEdit

Alibaba is an average sized young man with blonde hair and gold eyes. He has a short and thick ahoge. He usually wears a traditional Arabian outfit with a sash around his waist to hold his knife. He has a small red rope he wears around his neck at all times. He wore black boots with blue stripes, and one earing on each ear. It is later shown that he highly resembles his mother, having her soft facial features and kind eyes.

At the end of the Balbadd Arc, Alibaba is shown wearing two red earrings on the top of his left ear (which presumably belonged to Kassim and holds his rukh).

In the World Exploration Arc, after training in the Reim Empire, Alibaba started wearing a dark blue tunic which slants on his left side. He also started to wear black boots with burgundy stripes, and has scars on his arm's from where Garda bit him.

PersonalityEdit

Initially, Alibaba was shown as being very cunning and petty, but since childhood he has always tried his best to do honest work. He would respect wealthy merchants and do his best to please them, often with flattering sophistry and laughing when they call him trash. Originally, he also tried to be friends with Aladdin for his strength.

Like Aladdin, he likes beautiful, busty women and they usually go clubbing whenever they can (except he appears to have very bad luck in there, always getting a rather ugly-looking lady who claims to be the most beautiful in the club). However, it was shown that he was actually very kind, caring and helpful. Due to having a high class education since he was young, he is also very skilled in negotiations and much more intelligent than he appears. He has no patience for those who wallow in their power at the expense of others suffering. At the same time, he can be a rather oblivious person, as he naively trusts Sinbad.

He is dedicated to helping everyone and can seem a little hard-headed, like when he goes into a fight without any help because he wants to settle something himself. He is very loyal to his friends. He became good friends with Aladdin and Morgiana and cares a lot for them. Since his Magoi has become one with Kassim's Magoi, his aura/atmosphere and behavior have changed, taking on some of Kassim's personality and habits; for example, smoking. Alibaba wanted to smoke but he still couldn't handle it. He acknowledges this change and decides to accept it as a final gift.

HistoryEdit

When Alibaba was younger, he lived in the slums of Balbadd with his mom, Anise. One day his mother saw Kassim and his sister being beaten by their father, so she went over to save them and took them in as a member of her family. One day, Alibaba's mother succumbed to an illness and died. At that point Kassim took on the role of taking care of them. Even though it was hard for them, they combined their strength to help each other, and were helped by Anise's customers and neighbours as well. In contrary to Kassim, Alibaba tried to live his life as honestly as possible.

After a few days the King of Balbadd came to the slums and told Alibaba that he was his son and the he will live in the palace. He had a difficult life from that point on because he was a brat from the slums. The Princes saw him as trash and even the King, the person who brought him, in ignored him when in the palace. He was lonely and had to go through intense daily training. He was taught everything from how he walks, speaks and eats, to sword fighting, economics, math, and philosophy. Eventually, thanks to his hard work, some of people started speaking to him properly and he even became close with one of his half-brothers, Sahbmad.

One night, years later, Alibaba snuck out of the palace to have a look at the slums. What he found there was nothing, no trace of junkyard street or people. As he was about to go back to the palace, he ran into Kassim. Alibaba was happy and felt nostalgic talking to Kassim after all those years. Kassim invited him on a drink and he accepted. While drinking, he noticed the level of respect Kassim had with all the adults, and how each were bowing to him. During the talk, Alibaba got drunk and told Kassim how he was able to escape from the castle. He ended up giving away a very important weakness of the palace, even though he hasn't told him the most crucial part, i.e. location. On the way back to the palace, Alibaba was trailed by someone Kassim had paid. After that, Alibaba went back to living in the palace.

After sometime had passed, the King came down with a deadly chronic disease. Before the king died, he told Alibaba that he would like to leave the kingdom to him. Alibaba asked about his mother and was told of how the King loved his mom. This put Alibaba at ease. He decided to refuse the King's request for him to be king, saying that it was not his place and that the two Princes should be the one to handle their country. However, he decided to devote himself to Balbadd. That night, he saw Kassim again, inside the walls of the palace. Before Alibaba realized it, he was surrounded by members of Kashim's group from the slums. They started attacking and stealing from the palace. While Alibaba was frozen, one of Kassim's subordinates noticed him. He told Kassim and Kassim said to just knock him out. Alibaba could only feel the heat of the flame that engulfed the palace. The next morning, the King had passed away. Because of his feelings of guilt and fear, he escaped Balbadd that same day. From that point, he traveled until he ran into Aladdin.

PlotEdit

Dungeon ArcEdit

Alibaba works as a Cart Driver to a fat wine vendor, Budel. Budel orders him to quiet down Aladdin and Mina. Alibaba reassures him, that even though his rates are cheap, he always does his job right. Then, Aladdin want to take Budel's apple and Alibaba scolds him, while kissing up to him. He then thinks that Budel is his favorite type of boss and it should be easy to get paid as long as nothing dangerous happens. In this very moment, Aladdin touches Budel's breast, which terrifies Alibaba. He promises to kill Aladdin if that happens again saying it will ruin his life plan. He tells Aladdin about Dungeons and his own dream, about girls rich people can get and, in very awkward way, tries to explain to Aladdin what kissing is. Budel then begins to insult Alibaba's dream and even though it's clear Alibaba is frustrated, he holds his tongue to Budel.^[1]

Just then, their cart is attacked by a Desert Hyacinth, from underneath and the whole thing is tipped over. All Budel's wine is thrown over along with Mina. As Alibaba reaches out to save her, he is pushed out the way by Budel, who is trying to save his wine, causing the little girl to be eaten by the Desert Hyacinth. The mother, grief stricken is told by Budel he would make her another one if she meant so much to her.^[2]

In that instant, Alibaba can't contain himself any longer and punches Budel in the face. He then takes Budel's wine rushes in to save the girl. Alibaba then throws in Budel's wine to distract the Hyacinth and saves the girl while it is digesting the wine. However, he is captured himself by the Hyacinth. Alibaba tries to fight, but is knocked unconscious. He wonders if he'll die like this, but then, Aladdin shows up saying that he wants to hear more about money and things you can't buy. He then throws all of the wine, which he kept on his Magic Turban, inside the Dessert Hyacinth's mouth. This saves Alibaba. Both are thanked for their bravery. Alibaba then looks with a strange expression and asks what he is doing, keeping saying that he won't come out. Aladdin finally summons Ugo, and freaks out everyone, Alibaba included. Soon after, he realizes that Aladdin would be perfect for his plans, but first he has to make him believe that he's his friend.^[3]

The next day, they both come to the oasis city, Qishan. When they walk together, Aladdin thanks Alibaba for coming with him, and Alibaba responds it's only natural since he saved his life, and adds that it makes them friends. Then they arrive at a room, where Alibaba treats Aladdin to some food During their meal Alibaba asks what's the deal with the flute. Aladdin explains that it's his other friend, Ugo, but people around calls him a Djinn or something. Alibaba wants to know if he found Ugo in a Dungeon, which Aladdin answers no and that he is looking for the Djinn Metal Vessels. In that moment, Aladdin is convinced he should go to a Dungeon to look much to the surprise of Alibaba. Just than Alibaba's boss comes in to scold him for destroying Budel's wine and costing them a lot of money. He adds that they are thinking of making Alibaba a slave. Alibaba tells his boss not to worry since he is going to pay him back by Dungeon Diving. Aladdin summons Ugo and surprises and reassures Alibaba's boss of their success. However, during Aladdin's introduction, Alibaba, beside saying he's one badass Magician, tells that Aladdin is his number one servant.^[4]

Later, he is happy how well the conversation went, but then notices that Aladdin is mad at something. Alibaba doesn't understand at what and thinks it's about the money. When he reassures Aladdin of his cut and Aladdin still doesn't seem to enthusiastic, Alibaba became nervous in that Aladdin wouldn't want to Dungeon Dive anymore. He thinks that he has to do something to cheer him up, and eventually takes him to a pleasure house, remembering how lit up Aladdin was when they talked about food and women.^[5]

However, Aladdin was as depressed as before. Alibaba gets annoyed and demands that Aladdin said him what's the deal. Aladdin finally says it's about him being Alibaba's slave and Alibaba explains he said it only to look big in front of his boss. Then he adds that Aladdin is his partner, buddy and friend, which makes Aladdin incredibly happy, much to amazement of Alibaba. He doesn't understand what's going on, but is excited about his upcoming Dungeon Diving. Seeing how much fun with girls Aladdin has, he commands to see the most popular hostess and Elizabeth is send to him. He doesn't think of her as beauty at all and acts awkwardly the whole time. After this, Aladdin is completely refreshed while Alibaba is wounded and scolds Aladdin for his happy mood.^[6]

Afterwards, Alibaba tells Aladdin a story about Dungeons and about the first conqueror, Sinbad, though doesn't mention him by name. He then takes Aladdin to the Seventh Dungeon, Amon. Alibaba starts to become discouraged because of all the deaths caused by this dungeon, but Aladdin notices it and encourages him, saying that this place isn't stairway to death, but to his dreams. They go into gate's way, but Alibaba comes back. He explains that first they need to prepare supplies. During shopping, Aladdin fools around with a weapon, and makes Alibaba fall. He bumps into a girl who carried fruits and whole basket lands on ground, along with the girl. He scolds Aladdin and addresses to the girl, who, as he thinks, is very cute. He asks if he should help her carry the basket, but when she declines with a poker face, he thinks that on the second thought, she's not cute at all. Aladdin points out at her shackles and Alibaba explains that she's slave. He is terrified when Aladdin breaks her chains understanding it's crime.^[7] Then, Budel comes to see what's happening. He notices the slave's broken chains and asks if they know that stealing slaves is considered a grand larceny. Alibaba explains that they don't know anything, and, in the first place, how two powerless kids would be able to break chains. Budel however stops caring about it and asks when Alibaba is going to pay his debt. When he stays silent, Budel orders him to be his slave. To show him what it means to be slave, he starts abusing the slave that is still around them. Alibaba tries to stop him, but is only able to say some words, so Aladdin takes his metal flute and hits Budel's shin. Then, he says that Alibaba won't be his slave. Budel gets mad and says to guards that he has found slave thieves. Aladdin then summons Ugo and the two runs away, toward the Dungeon. Alibaba hesitates a little thinking that this gate really is like an entrance to death, but Aladdin pushes him.^[8]

As they are transported through the Dungeon's door and through a tunnel of light, Alibaba is frightened. He can't see or feel anything, he can't even breathe. He wakes up underwater and, while coughing, stands from water. He is greeted by Aladdin, who arrived first, long enough for Aladdin's cloths to dry. Alibaba wonders how screwed the time in the Dungeon is. Then, Aladdin takes him deeper into the Dungeon, where he sees a beautiful scenery. Alibaba decides to go down a particular tunnel, but Aladdin becomes scared and eventually makes him change his mind so they can take their time and think about what they should do next. Unbeknownst to both of them, this decision saved their lives. When they make their way back they notices how many doors there are and how each had a symbol on the wall next to them. Alibaba quickly figures out what it all means and quickly comes up with the correct entrance. In the right path they came upon beautiful rainbow like balls and Alibaba dubs them rainbow balls. The rainbow balls begins cracking and hatching ant-like monsters, Slime. Aladdin is being eaten by one when Alibaba pulled him out of it.^[9]

They find themselves surrounded by Slime. To escape, Aladdin summons Ugo. They managed to run away but Aladdin becomes very tired and calls back Ugo. However, Slime, who had copied Ugo's leg muscles to catch up, still follows them. As Alibaba tries to cut them, his knife goes right through them. He realizes that they are able to take on any appearance. All the Slime monsters then starts to merge together and make a giant King Slime. Aladdin summons Ugo once again to defeat this monster with Ugo's Heat Magic.^[10]

After the fight, Alibaba is amazed by Aladdin's abilities. However, he quickly notices that Aladdin looks bad. His little friend explains that he used too much power and that he can be cured by eating. Alibaba gives him some food, but Aladdin still feels tired, so he goes to sleep. Alibaba starts wondering if he's pushing Aladdin too much. He then takes care of sleeping Aladdin. He takes his flute and tries to play, but no sound nor Ugo comes out. He then notices eight-pointed star, wonders what it is, what is written there and whether Aladdin, whose real identity is still unknown to him, can read it. He realizes that he doesn't know much about Aladdin, but he himself said nothing particular, since he's not a person to blabber about himself. However, because Aladdin helps him a lot, he thinks it wouldn't hurt to tell something about himself.^[11]

After that, Alibaba falls asleep. He is awoken suddenly when he hears the footsteps of Jamil and his two slaves. Alibaba thinks they would pass them without noticing them but a girl slave smells them and comes into the crack, surprising Alibaba. He recognizes her as the slave he and Aladdin met earlier. Alibaba, scared, tries to make nice with them and tells them a made-up story, but Jamil completely ignores him. Instead, he goes straight to Aladdin and addresses him as Magi much to the wonder of Alibaba.^[12] Jamil then orders Goltas to takes Aladdin and his flute still ignoring Alibaba. When Alibaba finally gets Jamil's attention, who is quite surprised why Alibaba is following him, he accidentally insults him, so Jamil orders Goltas to kill him. He dodges Goltas' attack and quickly overpowers him using his swordplay skills. Jamil stabs Goltas, saying he's useless, and forces Alibaba to work for him, since he got some amazing ability. Hesitantly, Alibaba goes with him, mostly because they keep Aladdin captive.^[13]

Later, they find a text written in a Toran Language. Alibaba has a little slip-tongue, making Jamil amazed that plebeian knows such a language. As Alibaba notices that Jamil can't read it at all, he translates the text. Jamil hits Alibaba, but he is happy and wants Jamil to believe what he just said, as he's no just nobody. Then, a group comes to a trap. Jamil orders Alibaba to go trough it and adds that it's his time to shine. Thanks to some athletic skills Alibaba has, he is able to go through it without damage, but then the floor opens and Alibaba falls on needles.^[14]

Alibaba then shows himself on a balcony above Aladdin, when Aladdin, already awake, talks with Jamil's slave, Morgiana, and she reveals that Alibaba's been left to die, since he didn't know his place. Aladdin uses his Magic Turban to escape from Morgiana. She notices and tries to stop them, however she fails. Aladdin then notices that Alibaba is bleeding, so Alibaba tells him not to touch him as it hurts. Then, he shows Aladdin a door he found but couldn't open.^[15] Aladdin says he knows how to open it, comes up to the doors and puts both his hands on them while saying "Open Sesame", which makes doors open.^[16]

They walk through a lot of fog and when it finally clears they are amazed at the huge city that stretches out before there eyes. As they go exploring, Alibaba decides to name it "Aladdin and Alibaba Park", and how Alibaba would be the major and Aladdin would be his vice major. He then reassures Aladdin he will get his flute back, as he's the one who let Jamil stole it. Then, he begins wonder where they are and Aladdin explains that this place is called "Necropolis". He then explains Alibaba about a place he was kept all this time before going to the outside world and about Ugo. Alibaba asks Aladdin if he could introduce Ugo to him after they leave the Dungeon and says he would want to know more about Aladdin as well.^[17]

They make there way into the tallest building, thinking it's the Treasure Room, and starts to look around, only to find it was an empty storage room.^[18] As they are about to turn around to look in the other buildings, Goltas blocks the entrance. Alibaba takes out his knife, only to realize that Goltas is already dead. In the next instant Morgiana comes in and kicks Aladdin off into the distance and follows him to finish it. Alibaba stays there to fight Jamil, who is mad at him, but completely scared. Alibaba is depressed he was scared of guy like that. Then, Alibaba clearly states that in the Dungeon, status, lineage or name doesn't matter. He adds that this is a place where you put even your own life, making it place that strains life. Jamil begins to attack him, but Alibaba, who is revealed to have Balbadd's royal blood running through him and has been taught a royal swordplay, quickly overwhelms and defeats him. He stated that, "I thought I had forgotten the past, but my body sure remembers..." ^[19]

After that, Alibaba checks where is Morgiana and, realizing she's way too far to help Jamil, he demands Jamil to give back Aladdin's flute. As Jamil becomes desperate, he screams for Morgiana to come and save him which she does at great speeds, surprising Alibaba, who thinks of her as a freakishly strong monster. Alibaba then reaches out his hand and asks her to come to his side, since even though she abandoned Jamil, nobody would knew it. She takes it only to throw him with a great speed, in the wall, hurting him. Jamil then orders her to kill him. As she eventually wants to do it, she is stopped by Aladdin, who quickly defeats her by shooting Magoi.^[20] Alibaba watches the fight amazed, but doesn't know what Aladdin's ability is. After getting back him flute, Aladdin and Alibaba proceed to find the treasure. Suddenly, the mark on Aladdin's flute emits a light which points on a pot. Aladdin touches it, summoning Amon.^[21]

Once summoned, Amon does an assessment of everyone. As he checks Alibaba, he starts sighting. Then, he changes his appearance to be smaller, as he couldn't hear his guests. He quickly realizes that Aladdin is Magi and then talks with Ugo.^[22] Alibaba is then allowed to take all the treasure he wanted, however, Amon wonders why Aladdin brought someone like him. Soon after, the Dungeon starts to collapse. Aladdin and Alibaba make haste to the center of the room where Amon made an escape route. Amon calls over to Morgiana to come too, but she hesitates, since Jamil would die. Alibaba tries to make her realize that she may leave him behind and be free, but she still wants to save Jamil first.^[23]

Goltas then intercepts, much to the astonishment not only Morgiana's, but also Alibaba's and Aladdin's, and tells her that it's too late for him and Jamil. He breaks the chains on Morgiana's feet and makes her leave. As the group was leaving, Amon joins them by going inside Alibaba's knife thus becoming Alibaba's Djinn.^[24] While transporting outside the Dungeon, Aladdin and Alibaba decides to have a chat. Alibaba thanks Aladdin for allowing him the chance to Dungeon Dive. Aladdin then says that Alibaba is brave person, and since they're meeting, he began to like him. He once again says that Alibaba is a man of courage and that he really respect him, leaving Alibaba in tears. But suddenly, he says that now they're rich and Aladdin definitely shouldn't be saying that they're journey is over. They make a promise to go on an adventure again. In that moment, a light goes off and Alibaba wakes up where the Dungeon had disappeared, alone.^[25]

After few days, Alibaba still haven't met Aladdin. Using all the treasure he got from the Dungeon, he frees all the slaves and takes over Jamil's old job. Budel is now under him and is kissing up to him. All the while, he is waiting for Aladdin to come back. Eventually, Morgiana comes to him. She asks him why he bought Jamil's place and freed all slaves. He says that this is what he would do and asks what is she going to do right now. She tells him she's not sure because she never though of anything but being slave, but she is probably going to find a new master to work, this time for wages. She tells him she is grateful to him for what he's done and that she feels like there is now a reason for her to be alive. Alibaba says to keep on walking on her pretty legs. He then wonders why she never smiles when being with him, since he did so close to Aladdin. He then asks her where she's going to go, and she replies she plans to visit her homeland, like her saviour wanted. Alibaba thanks her for that, because she helped him deciding what to do now, and asks her to take care of herself. Then, he heads toward Balbadd. In his thoughts, he addresses to Aladdin, knowing he's alive, and recalls Aladdin saying to him that he's a brave person. He says he's happy for that, as Aladdin is the very first person who told him that. He then tells to Aladdin in his thoughts to wait for him, because now he has things he must do, but one day, the will go on an adventure again.^[26]

Balbadd ArcEdit

During the fight between Aladdin, Morgiana, Jafar, and the Fog Troupe, Aladdin summons Ugo. Kassim asks one of the Fog Troupe members what's wrong and he says to leave it to him. To stop Aladdin, he takes off his mask. Kassim asks him if he knows him. As Aladdin and Ugo block the way, Alibaba asks Aladdin if he could stand down and allow his men to continue. Aladdin does so with no problem. Aladdin then tells Alibaba that he is happy to see him and that he has a lot to tell him. Aladdin says that they had a promise to travel together. Alibaba responds saying that he is sorry, and that he can't keep that promise. Alibaba then summons Amon, to allow his men to escape.^[27] By creating a giant Wall of Flames, the entire Fog Troupe escapes successfully.^[28]

Alibaba then sits in the Fog Troupe's basement. The three brothers, L Nando, S Nando and M Nando are introduced in front of him. He makes clear what his organization is about and what they can and cannot do. After he threatens them with death from breaking rules, he dismisses everyone. He goes to talk to Kassim about the current state of events. He's angry at Kassim for keeping recruiting unknown people and asks him if he wants to start a war. Kassim answers in very messy way and eventually reminds Alibaba he's the leader. As Alibaba wants to answer him back, he's surrounded by children who praise him for defeating army and letting them having two meals a day. Kassim grabs him and keeps pushing him into thinking he's the only one who can change lives of people from slums.^[29]

After the conversation, Alibaba goes to his room. He tries to smoke, only to starts coughing. He thinks he's useless because of his halfhearted determination. He then remembers Aladdin but quickly shakes his head and says to himself not to think about it, since he already decided to solve this matter alone. He then notices someone behind him, but as he doesn't find anyone, he thinks it was only his imagination. Thinking he's very tired, he goes to bed. As he lies on it, he notices Morgiana on ceiling. When he starts to scream, she hits him in his stomach. Then, he asks her how she found him. She replies she followed his scent and then says to tell his reason to Aladdin, why he become a thief. He warns her she should go from the enemy's lair if she doesn't want to be killed, but she still asks him for an answer. She recalls how he wanted to meet Aladdin back in Qishan, but he only replies he won't say them anything. He then adds this matter should be solved by men, and women, especially the one who has nothing to do with him, should stay away. Hearing this, she breaks the floor, picks Alibaba and takes him on night fly to Aladdin's place.^[30]

After the end of the journey, Morgiana throws Alibaba by window. He lies with tears in his eyes, and seeing surprised Aladdin, he smiles a little. He apologizes for disturbing Aladdin. The two of them starts talking, however the conversation is quite awkward at first, so they talk about irrelevant things. Morgiana gets angry and pressurize him, but hearing it, he gets annoyed by her and says that now he doesn't feel like explaining anything anymore. Morgiana tries to tell him the real consequences of his doing. She screams she never imagined he would be kind of person who doesn't care about other well-being and cries. Alibaba has nothing to say in return. Morgiana is then calmed by Aladdin, who tells Alibaba what happened during their 6 months separation. After the atmosphere is lighter again, Aladdin asks Alibaba to tell them a truth.^[31]

Alibaba starts talking about his friend, Kassim, and about his past.^[32] He recalls his mother, how he become a Prince of Balbadd, about the incident caused by his ignorance and naivety. After the end of his story, Morgiana tells him she still doesn't understand why he decided to join hands with Kassim despite his betrayal. He replies saying what happened when he returned to Balbadd after capturing the Dungeon. He explains he met Kassim and learned about Balbadd's current situation. He decided to help him and took an action immediately. He plans to reveal his identity as a Prince when the right times comes. Then, Aladdin asks him what will he do if the war outbreaks, which is enough to make him completely emotional. He yells and screams about not only a tragic situation of Balbadd, but also his own uselessness. He cries while begging Aladdin to leave the country and gets hit in a head. Aladdin calms him down and reassures him he will help him and adds that they should figure something out, together.^[33]

Kassim then breaks down the door, to get Alibaba back. Morgiana addresses to Alibaba if he wants to go with him. The Fog Troupe then starts to attack the hotel they were staying at. Alibaba asks Kassim about the meaning of this, since he hasn't ordered anything like this. Kassim then grabs Alibaba, which is notices by Morgiana, who attacks him. Alibaba saves him and advices him to run. Sinbad, Masrur and Jafar appears to fight the Fog Troupe. After the fight, Sinbad says he's job is done as long as he hands down the Fog Troupe to the military and asks Alibaba if it isn't right. Sinbad asks Alibaba for a duel. He hesitates at first, but when Sinbad insults the bond he has with the Fog Troupe and says he's not on their level as a Prince, he accepts his offer. He calls out for Amon's flames and starts the battle. Even though he seems to win at first, Sinbad uses Magoi Manipulation at him and defeats him.

Right after the fight, Sinbad decides to join the Fog Troupe. Alibaba doesn't want to believe in the honesty of his intentions, so Sinbad explains he wants to stop "abnormalities of the world". He eventually takes Alibaba to the Balbadd's Palace. While there, not only does Alibaba not get a chance to talk things out with his brother, Ahbmad Saluja, but he is even completely ignored and treated as a trash, despite his other brother, Sahbmad Saluja's attempts to help Alibaba. When Ahbmad starts insulting not only him, but also others citizens, he gets angry and screams to don't screw around, adding he has no right to be king.

Markkio shows up and starts his conversation with Ahbmad. Judar comes and interrupts as well. After some time, Ahbmad remembers that he has a visitors and explains he can't fulfill their request, as right now, Balbadd is allying with the Kou Empire, the country Judar and Markkio are from. Alibaba screams demanding Ahbmad to promise him to protect the ones who are suffering, but Ahbmad yawns and asks Sinbad to remove this thing from slums from there. Alibaba still wants to get Ahbmad to listen to him, but is ignored anyway, so Sinbad advices him to withdraw for now.

After the failed negotiations, Alibaba sits silently with Aladdin and Morgiana. Aladdin directly asks him about how the negotiations went. Alibaba answers that he couldn't say anything and Ahbmad didn't even seen him as a human at all. He thinks that even though he did what he could, the results are still the same. Aladdin reassures him it's not true because he was able to move many people and Alibaba thanks him for that. Morgiana notices he still needs to tell people about the results. He answers he doesn't even know where to start, but then Jafar and Masrur comes to convey Sinbad's message which contains announcing it to the Fog Troupe, shocking him.

Alibaba then stands, depressed, and hears as Sinbad tells what he couldn't. After that, Aladdin comments it's amazing and Alibaba agrees, adding that it's the king. Then, Judar comes and starts his own conversation with Sinbad. Learning that Aladdin is a Magi, he starts looking for his King Candidate. Realizing it's Alibaba after locating his Metal Vessel, he comments he remembers him from before. He starts laughing and insults Alibaba saying how he was bullied by Ahbmad, screamed and even cried. When he adds that he's useless, Aladdin gets angry and screams the opposite, concluding that Alibaba is a brave person, which moves him. Judar wonders if he's really such a wonderful guy and attacks him. As his attack punctures Alibaba's chest, he hugs himself in pain, with Morgiana close to him. He then watches Aladdin's and Judar's fight, stunned by what he hears or sees.

When Ugo is out of control, Morgiana saves Aladdin from Judar, and Alibaba attacks him, breaking his Borg with Amon's flames. Judar complains that it hurt and adds he forgot about Alibaba being Dungeon Capturer. Judar quickly sends Alibaba, as well as others, flying, until he's defeated by Ugo. Ugo then uses Heat Magic, from which Alibaba is saved by Morgiana. When the eight Princess of the Kou Empire, Kougyoku Ren, appears, he fights alongside the others with Engi, Enshin and Entai, sent by Kougyoku.

After the battle, he sits alone in the room with the memories of Judar haunting him. He ponders about his own lack of power to help anyone, and even though he does have Metal Vessel,if he can't use it in critical moments, there's no meaning to having it at all. He feels angry at himself for being angry. While changing his bandages, he says it's not even time for being injured and he is everywhere. He notices he's wounded even in privates parts of his body and decides to check it. While lying on the bed with his bottom completely exposed, Morgiana comes into his room asking how are his wounds. Seeing her, he screams. When she, also screaming, asks what is he doing, he explains he was just checking his wounds.

Later, she reassures him if it's bandaging, he should have left it to her. He answers that injuries like this are nothing at all and orders her to hurry up, since he need to help as well. He then asks about Aladdin's condition. She answers he looked very tired so he's probably worried, but Alibaba says it's not the case. He recalls that the same thing happened in Amon's Dungeon. The two of them decide to go and check up on him, only to notice him in a very bad shape. Terrified, they quickly comes closer to him. Sinbad then comes and tells them to take the flute away from him. Aladdin is confirmed alive, but Alibaba, worried, asks what happened, since it's even worse that in the Dungeon. When Sinbad answers it's because he overused his Magoi to help Ugo, Alibaba gets emotional and tells them that for Aladdin, Ugo isn't only flute but a very important friend.

After that, the Fog Troupe's members ask Alibaba what they will do from now on. Alibaba can't find an answer, so he's saved by Sinbad. Later, while helping the injured, he again thinks of himself as being useless as can't even calm everyone down. He then thinks that if it was Kassim, he would manage to do it. As he wonders where Kassim went after Sinbad joined the Fog Troupe, he's notified about the imperial army starting their attack on them. He quickly notices Barkak with them and wants to know why Balbadd's General is there. Shortly after, Sahbmad shows himself.

Alibaba goes to Barkak, surprises that he seems him. Barkak recalls the times Alibaba was his student. Then, Alibaba asks Sahbmad why did he come to such a place, but Sahbmad, instead of replying, while shivering, says that Alibaba is really amazing. He tells him that he even can't stop shiver with this many strangers around. Barkak grabs his shoulder to calm him down, and explains Alibaba that the Deputy King come to him even in this state. Then Sinbad comes and realizes that it was Sahbmad who was leaking information to the Fog Troupe. He says he has no affiliation with that group and he doing this only because Alibaba was there, surprising him. He says he believed that if Alibaba was there, he could do something for this country, as Alibaba could always do things that Sahbmad couldn't. He says he wanted Alibaba to stop Ahbmad. Sinbad asks why is he fearing his brother. Sahbmad starts saying something no one can understand, so Barkak explains Balbadd's bad situation. When it's clear that Ahbmad want to sell citizens as slaves, Sinbad asks if Ahbmad has fallen that low. In the end, Sahbmad says that he doesn't understand it either and adds that not only Ahbmad, but the rest of officials as well have been spending money like it's nothing. Then, Alibaba looks at Morgiana and seems surprised when she asks Sahbmad if the reason why he's here is to asks them for a help, and when he nods, she tells Alibaba to do it. Then, Sahbmad tells about arranged marriage of Ahbmad with one of the Kou Empire's princesses and grabs Alibaba's shoulder, begging him to stop their brother. He starts crying and adds that if it's him, he wouldn't be able to do anything. Barkak then takes Sahbmad as it's time for them to return home.

Alibaba then goes to unconsciousness Aladdin and tells him what happened. He asks if he's really the right person to save everyone and brings real heroes, like Sinbad, to the topic. He says how amazing Sinbad is and that he can't even compare to him, asking sleeping Aladdin if it's right.

Later, he sits along with Morgiana and Jafar, and listens to what Sinbad has to say. He learns about the Kou Empire's expansion which happened recently, and about Judar. Alibaba then asks what "Magi" is, to which he also gets an answer. Sinbad also briefly tells them about himself. Then, he tells about Ahbmad and Balbadd's connections with the Kou Empire. After realizing that Ahbmad and Kou are the real threat to Balbadd, Morgiana and Alibaba take their leave. However, Alibaba is stopped by Sinbad.

Sinbad says to Alibaba that he had heard a lot great things about him from his father, Rashid Saluja. He concludes that it must have been Rukh's Guidance to meet him as a fellow Dungeon Capturer. Alibaba declines his value telling Sinbad that he conquered the Dungeon using Aladdin's strength, not his own. He adds that Amon's power didn't make any harm to Sinbad and demand him to stop comparing them. Sinbad tries to push him into different thinking, saying that he has to overcome his lack of confidence, that Balbadd has to be reformed and Alibaba has to become a king, which surprise the main subject of interest greatly. Sinbad promises to support and help him, but Alibaba attempts to stop him, thinking it's impossible to him to be the king. Sinbad tells him about how duty is bestowed on person in the moment he is born, and about Morgiana's, as well as others, expectations of Alibaba.

Alibaba then goes alone the road and thinks about his earlier conversation with Sinbad. Then, he realizes that all people will become slaves while looking at some of them. He's noticed by them and pushed to tell them details, but he's saved by Kassim and his group. He then asks Kassim where he has been when the big problem aroused. Kassim doesn't want to go back since Sinbad is there, saying he's royalty. What's more, Sinbad made fun of the Fog Troupe for which Kassim won't forgive him. Alibaba tries to argue with him saying that Sinbad's strength is required for them right know. However, Kassim answers that besides members of the Fog Troupe, also citizens wish to change Balbadd. Alibaba is terrified when he realizes that Kassim wants to make citizens into army who will bring down the current monarchy. He doesn't want to believe that Kassim is serious about this matter, so he gets introduced to the Weapon Dealer. Alibaba tries to stop him and make him consider number of victims, but Kassim replies that no matter how many will have to sacrifice their lives, the final victory will be theirs. Alibaba watches him horrified. He recalls how he cried over Mariam's death and now he wants to submerge innocents into the sea of blood. Asked if he will go with Kassim, Alibaba says he never heard this will lead to the war. Kassim tells him that if even Alibaba's royal blood wasn't able to shake Ahbmad, the war is the only way. Alibaba doesn't agree and it's they should think of another way. Kassim screams and demands Alibaba to tell him what he plans to do, but Alibaba calmly answers he doesn't know. He however adds he knows he will find an answer. The answer which won't result to a single drop of blood being shed. He asks Kassim to let him change this country. Kassim hits him strongly, so Alibaba gets angry and grabs his clothes. Kassim says that being with him is tiring him out. He then tells Alibaba he has no strength or determination; he's trash despite being the prince. Alibaba then hears that he should disappear from Kassim's eyes and if he still insists on stopping him, the next time they'll meet they'll be enemies. Being completely angered, Alibaba goes straight to Sinbad and asks him to teach him how to use his Djinn. He says he needs a power to protect this country.

During his training, Sinbad explains to Alibaba the proper way to use a Djinn. The flashback occurs where Sinbad asks Alibaba about his sudden change of mind. Alibaba explains he's still not sure whether he's befitting being a king or not, but if there are things he can do now, he wishes to do them. While trying to compress his Djinn into his own body, Alibaba apologizes to Sinbad in his thoughts, saying he can't tell him about Kassim. He thinks that if it's Sinbad, he could have stopped Kassim with an ease, but he doesn't want him to do that, and adds that in spite of the current state of matters, Kassim is still his friend. He wants to stop him himself. After his Magoi runs out, Alibaba asks Sinbad about another method of quickly resupplying it. While Alibaba's Magoi is being restored, Sinbad tells Alibaba about the Djinn Equip. He says that after completing it, he will possess the same outward appearance as Amon, which makes him remember how Amon looks. Alibaba also learns about Magoi Manipulation Sinbad have learned from the Yambala Gladiators. Alibaba seems a little discouraged knowing he can't learn it in the day or two. Then, Alibaba starts training again. Hearing that full body Djinn Equip would be impossible in the limited time he has, Sinbad tells him he should learn Djinn Weapon Equip first and explains what he means by this term.

Some time later, Alibaba sits in Aladdin's room when Morgiana comes in. She asks him if something is wrong, but he reassures her he was just worried about his friend's condition. She then tells him he should have a rest, as he had his training the whole day. Alibaba replies he rested a little and says he has dragged Aladdin into a terrible mess. At first, she doesn't say anything, but then tells him that Aladdin thinks of him as his most respectable friend, surprising him a little. She then reassures him that Aladdin surely doesn't feel he's been dragged into anything. Alibaba then thanks her for it.

After the conversation, Alibaba goes to the Balbadd's Palace's gate. He takes off the cloth that covered his face. He says sorry to Sinbad in his thoughts, as he can't wait any longer, since his friend is preparing a very dangerous plan and someone has to do something before its completion. He then reveals his identity as the third Prince of Balbadd and demands the guards to open the gates. They are unwillingly to do it, but citizens push them to let Alibaba in. Alibaba promises to calm them down if they'll open the gates. When they ask him to make sure if he's the only one who will get in, Alibaba swears on his name as a Prince. He then releases the flames and asks everyone to wait for him, as he will change the country.

He is quickly surrounded by other guards, so he screams to Ahbmad to get down as he wants to talk with him. He is attacked by Engi. He fights at the same level for a while, but soon gets wounded badly. He thinks of his mother who tells him not to cry, and remembers different people telling him their expectations of him. He wonders if he really is so powerless, when he recalls Aladdin saying he's a man of courage. He quickly scolds himself for even thinking like that, remaining himself that power isn't the issue here and his decision to move forward. He's finally able to Djinn Weapon Equips, retaining Amon's Sword, and kills his opponent.

Then, he's attacked by next monsters. He quickly gets rid of them. As he's about to continue forward, Enshin makes his appearance. As he is about to slash him, Morgiana appears and kicks him. She asks him if he doesn't think that coming here alone is a bit too much. As they fight hand to hand, he asks her why she's there. She replies she wishes to become his strength. He says he didn't tell her he was coming there because he knew she would say something like this and asks if she doesn't get that he has to do it alone. She answers she knows and understands it, but adds that fighting these monsters isn't what he has to do. As he realizes that his true aim is Ahbmad, Morgiana offers to fight them in his place, to which he doesn't want to agree. She uses her Battle Cry, smiles and full of pride, says that despite her looks she's actually very strong. He, with a strange expression, says he understands, but adds he knew that already. She then picks him up and throws him over the gate.

As Alibaba runs, he apologizes to Morgiana, but he has to push forward as quickly as possible. In his way stands Entai. Before he can make a final blow, his Magoi runs out. He thinks of the method Sinbad told him, and by using oil, he restores Amol Saika. He knows he can only use it one, but after finishing Entai off, no more monster enemies are before him. He charges into Ahbmad's room and screams that this time, he came to settle the score with him.

Markkio notices that he has run out of Magoi, to which Alibaba responds he has no intention of killing Balbadd's citizens. He says he has come to dethrone Ahbmad. Ahbmad orders to kill him, but Alibaba demands people to stand back. He asks them if they think this country can continue being like that. Ahbmad again says to kill him, but he is protected by Sahbmad who stands up and forbids anyone to get between the talk between the King and the third Prince. Sahbmad, being accused of siding with the rebels and starting coup d'etat, clearly says he's discussed everything with Alibaba and now Alibaba is here. He asks his brother to step down the throne. As Ahbmad orders Sahbmad to be killed, Alibaba shields him and asks the soldiers to rethink with who are they're siding, as everyone will become slaves in just a few days, including them. Everyone stays silent besides Ahbmad, who still can't believe what is happening. Sahbmad explains that everyone's heart has left him long ago.

Then, Ahbmad starts laughing hysterically and wants to show his brother what it means to stand before large group of people. Seeing how Sahbmad suffers, Alibaba wants Ahbmad to stop it and says that Sahbmad is not a coward, in contrary to what Ahbmad thinks, but a man of courage, as he put off his own safety and came to the enemy's hideout only to speak to him. Ahbmad gets mad and tries to slash Alibaba with a sword, but Alibaba but he just takes sword into bare hands and, throwing the sword up, slaps Ahbmad. Then, he tells him to step down from a throne. As he tries to still be a king, Kougyoku, whom Sahbmad introduces as probable fiancée of Ahbmad, appears.

When Alibaba sees Kougyoku, he thinks it's now the time to do what he came here for. Kougyoku says her name and wants to know who is she going to marry, as she hasn't seen the face of the king yet. Markkio says that there's a problem, since they don't know who the current king is. She wants the new king to be quickly chosen. The most obvious answers is the Deputy King, Sahbmad, but he declines and points at Alibaba. Kougyoku asks him if he will become a new king, but he answers he won't. He says he has no right to be one and explains what he meant. When Kougyoku asks what about tomorrow's signing ceremony, he says he wants to discuss about it. Revealing his identity to her, he begins to say. He requests her to destroy the "citizens rights" pact. He says as it was decided by the former King, it has no meaning now. However, Kougyoku says she can't do that and the signing ceremony as well as marriage will happen tomorrow. He says it's impossible, as there won't be new king and today, they will put an end to the monarchy of Balbadd.

He arguments his decision as the will of citizens who don't want a king but to live happily. He then tells everyone about republics he visited. Ahbmad insults him and his idea to destroy the royal family who has been ruling the country for 23 generations, but Alibaba calmly answers him that continuing monarchy is the worst thing that can happen to Balbadd. He also says about royal family and nobles' status will be removed from them, and thus the country will be in hands of citizens. He then says that if it be permitted, he wants to help as well and devote his whole existence to Balbadd. He came here to make Balbadd an outstanding republic citizen state.

Then, Sinbad comes along with the three representatives, Narmes Titi, Parsine Pratemia and Imsisika who wanted to recommend Alibaba as the King of Balbadd. He apologizes to Sinbad for acting on his own, but justifies himself that the lack of the king is the key to save his country. Kougyoku interrupts saying that all the rights, trade etc., all belong to the Kou Empire. Alibaba replies he understands it well and asks her to act as the rights transfer never happened. He says that as the country of Balbadd they're speaking of no longer exist, so the pacts with Kou have no effect anymore. He knows pretty well that all he says is a meaningless quibble, a forced argument as it has completely no relations to the current state of matters, but he still takes a risk. Kougyoku asks him that if she returned, how would he know that her father won't brush her aside. Alibaba realizes that Kougyoku's authority isn't great and she doesn't want to involve herself with something like political marriage anyway. He starts to argue with her saying that if she show the kindness now, she will reap the fruits in the future. It's still not enough to change her mind, so Sinbad takes an initiative and says that Balbadd is now under the Seven Seas Alliance. He promises to go to see Kou's Emperor personally and explain all the details to him. She eventually agree to go along with it.

After bidding the representatives a farewell, Sinbad comes to Alibaba and scolds him for being so reckless, for which Alibaba apologizes. Asked what they should do now by Sahbmad, Alibaba gives a detailed plan of doing. Then, he says that he wants Ahbmad to be held in confinement on island, because even if people wanted the death sentence, he doesn't want to kill his own brother. He also says that no one has a right to punish anyone like that anymore, as the law has to be reformed. After that, Markkio interrupts saying that people who want to govern will appear, but he doesn't give him much though as he wants Balbadd to even have a form of one without disparities.

A little later, Alibaba and Sahbmad announces the citizens of new polity of Balbadd. Seeing the reaction of people, he addresses to Aladdin in his thoughts. He says he won't run away from this place anymore, so they have to put off their promise for a little longer. He wants him to wait a bit, as he doesn't want lose at being a "courageous person". Trembling and with tears in his eyes, he says he will never forget this scene of his citizens happy faces and determination. Just then, Kassim and the Fog Troupe appears. Kassim accuses Alibaba of cheating them and voices all of his thoughts regarding this matter. He also makes previously happy people into thinking it's wrong idea after all and that their relatives who died because of this country, won't return. He starts a civil war, much to the horror of Alibaba.

Soldiers wants to know what to do from Sahbmad. He asks Alibaba for instructions. He gives them and then heads to Kassim. He surrounds him with the Wall of Flames. He then asks Kassim what he is doing, when monarchy has ended. He demands answers when his friend stays silent. He then fights them when he gets attacked, until Kassim asks him if the children of the royal family should live as royalty, confusing Alibaba. He adds that brats from slums should live the whole life in slums. Then, one of his subordinates catches him in Kokubaku Mutou. Kassim creates a big black ball while saying that everyone has the right to be king, making Alibaba realize that it's what Kassim wanted all along. He promises to not allow anything else to be swallowed by his selfish ambitions.

He then activates Amol Saika which cuts trough anything with its heat. He then heads toward Kassim's head and orders Kassim to withdraws his troops, but he replies that he'd rather dies. Alibaba, after a little moment of hesitation, takes his sword and tries to slash him, but before doing so, he withdraws Amol Saika and cries, saying that can't do it to his friend, calling him an idiot. He begs him to withdraw his troops to stop this rebellion. Kassim answers he's really soft and promises to surrender. After a while he stabs himself and transforms into Black Djinn.

Alibaba is stunned seeing something like this. He can't believe what he sees and seems to not hear even Morgiana's screams. When Morgiana kicks it and leaves it to him to kill it, he asks if it's Kassim, but when he attacks him, he slashes him and manages to cut off one of his arms. As Alibaba is about to attack one more time, Kassim supplies his Black Rukh and recovers. He notices that Kassim targets Balbadd's Palace and tries to stop him, but Sinbad does it first. He then tells Alibaba to cut him, as his sword will be able to do it. As he says that he's the only one who can save this country now, Alibaba prepares to kill him.

Alibaba tries to pierce him, but isn't able to, even when his Djinn Weapon Equip evolves. He gets repelled toward a wall. Sinbad tells him it's Gravity Magic. Alibaba tries to attack once more, but he is attracted to him. Military comes in to help him and Sinbad helps him concentrate even more power into his sword. As he's about to cut him, Judar appears and attacks him. Alibaba realizes it's the worst that could happen, since his Magoi is depleted and he has a little strength left.

Judar attacks Alibaba with his Ice Magic, but Morgiana is able to rescue him. Then, Alibaba asks her to throw him up. She tries to stop him because of the increasing number of enemies and the lack of the injuries in it. She doesn't want to let him do it even more when he wants to even exhaust his Magoi, because she's aware it may lead to his death. He shouts that he can't let the things everyone protected so much be destroyed and pleads her until she decides to do as he says. However, the only thing it does is cutting his sword. He begs her to throw him again, since he's still alive and Amon's sword is still there, which she eventually does. He continues attacking like that until Aladdin comes and saves him.

He watches Aladdin's fight with Judar and feels that he is stronger. He is really surprised when Aladdin says he can't win. Aladdin then addresses to Alibaba that he need his help, but Alibaba has no Magoi nor sword left. Aladdin comes to calm him down, and shows him that he has lit a hope in everyone's hearts, which touches him and makes him cry. Aladdin then brings back the Rukh of dead people to guide Alibaba and Kassim. He then uses Harhar Infigar on Alibaba and helps him restore his sword. Alibaba then penetrates inside Kassim and goes to his rukh through to Aladdin's Wisdom of Solomon.

As he arrives there, Aladdin explains him that Kassim should be there. He notices him instantly and hears it's the form Kassim's rukh has taken. Alibaba wants to talk with Kassim once again, but gets rejected by him and hears that the person Kassim hated the most is him, at which he flinches. Kassim shows him that he hated him the whole time since the very day of Alibaba's last day in the slums. He says he always wanted to push Alibaba into the abyss of despair, but his radiance didn't disappear. Kassim then screams asking if he's the only one fated to be born as trash. Alibaba doesn't understand what he means, so Kassim continues saying that the difference between them is too big. Even after the death of Alibaba's mother, they weren't the same, since Alibaba tried to live as honestly as possible, while Kassim stole and did other bad things. When it was clear that Alibaba was a prince, he noticed that the gap between them is even bigger. He thought it's unfair that person's fate is decided before their birth and, as a consequence, cursed it.

Kassim's rukh then stabs Alibaba's, which makes Kassim's thoughts flow inside Alibaba. Seeing how Kassim thought he always lived in radiance, he punches him saying he's wrong, as he only wanted to survive and did a dirty things as well. He screams at Kassim and tells him not to assume and force the things upon him. Kassim says he doesn't want to lose to him, but Alibaba tells him there's no need to something like winning or losing between them. Kassim recalls when Alibaba said to Sinbad before that he's no different from them, but wonders how people can be the same and continues to argument his statement. He eventually stabs Alibaba. Alibaba starts crying, thinking it's frustrating and pitiful. He wonders how could he not realize how Kassim felt before. However, he adds he probably did realize it, but afraid, was always running away. He thinks that it might indeed be that everyone is different, but he thinks of it as sorrowful. Yet, if it's true, he wonders what he can do to let everyone live in a happiness. Kassim, who gets all Alibaba's feelings, starts crying as well and says he only wanted to live on the same level as him.

Then, the Djinn starts crumbling. Kassim reassures Alibaba he can still return alive. Alibaba says he come to save him, but for Kassim the though is enough already. Kassim then apologizes to all people who were dragged into it and regrets that he and Alibaba couldn't talk out thing properly earlier. Kassim starts a question, but at first Alibaba doesn't understand what he meant. Kassim then lets his rukh to went through Alibaba and shows him all thing he has no idea about. Alibaba curses that only hardships are in his memories, but there is a warm there as well. Then, he remembers Kassim starting asking the same question as the moment earlier and realizes now what it was. He screams if it isn't obvious that they are friends.

Right after that, the Djinn crumbles and Alibaba is left only with dead body of Kassim. He cries like a newborn for a long time, holding his friend's body. Then, he laments he let so many people die and couldn't even do anything to save Kassim, so Aladdin brings back Kassim's rukh to let Alibaba ask him personally. At first however, he brings back his parents rukh and explains to him that even after their death, it's not a farewell and they will always watch and protect him. Then, Kassim and Mariam appears before him. Aladdin asks if he still thinks that he couldn't save him, to which Alibaba tears up again as he watches them. A little later, Morgiana comes and hugs them, crying out happily knowing that they were alive and alright.

Sindria ArcEdit

6 months after the events in Balbadd. At first Alibaba and Aladdin were depressed over losing their friends and country, but by the time Sinbad came back to Sindria, they had starting feeling better and despite refusing to eat at first, grew very fat. Alibaba comes to greet Sinbad who points it out immediately. He seems to not notice it earlier but quickly adds that every dish in Sindria is delicious. He then explains that he decided, for sake of Kassim, to pull himself together. He asks Sinbad to tell him if there's something he can do, because he wants to prevent another situation similar to that of Balbadd's. Sinbad thinks that even if he's little fatter, that doesn't change a thing, and curing depression with eating is not that uncommon anyway. When he sees Aladdin however, he orders both of them to run and to lose their weight.^[34] Several weeks later, Alibaba comes back to his normal weight.^[35]

Later, Sinbad reveals his hope for Aladdin and Alibaba to lend their strength to Sindria, just like Eight Generals, in order to fight Al-Thamen and "abnormalities of the world". He states that it was Al-Thamen that somewhat led Balbadd into civil war and now they want to do the same to the entire world. Alibaba trembles a little which is immediately noticed by Aladdin, but he says that he's fine. After the break, Sinbad says that current Alibaba and Aladdin are way to weak to fight them.^[36]

A little later, the two of them are introduced to Yamraiha. They are amazing by her beauty and air of someone gentle. However, their image is brutally destroyed when Aladdin sexually harass her. Then, Alibaba witnesses Aladdin receive a little training from Yamraiha.^[37] He's amazed to see what magic can do. After that, he thinks of Aladdin as someone amazing and displays his lack of confidence by trying to compare himself to him. Then, Sinbad, accompanied by Morgiana, comes and takes him with them. He asks Alibaba if he has done any progress with mastering his Djinn Equip, and sees Alibaba's broken sword. Sinbad says him that this sword is completely unusable, so he just has to choose a new one. Asked where he had obtained his old one, as Metal Vessel must be something important to its user, he explains that it was bought by money earned from his first successful trade negotiations, which his father happened to see. He was told that Balbadd is trading center and to continue training. After completing his story, he quickly adds that this knife was just something cheap, but he regret that it broke. Sinbad decides to give him a sword he received from previous King of Balbadd. Alibaba takes it.^[38]

After obtaining his new Metal Vessel, he, along with Sinbad and Morgiana, goes to find a Vessel for Morgiana. He finds out that people like her can become Household Members, in this case, she would borrow power from Alibaba's Djinn, Amon. Morgiana is down that she never worn any kind of jewelery, so Alibaba recommends her two devilish-looking manifers. Morgiana seems kind of happy and asks him if it suits her, to which he responds that she looks very strong. He's shocked when she brings her old shackles and wants to use them as her Household Vessel and he doesn't change his expression hearing that they are filled with the kindness of her most important people, meaning Aladdin, Goltas and Alibaba.^[39]

Soon after, Alibaba voices his wish to transfer Amon as soon as possible and asks Sinbad if he could be his teacher. Sinbad answers that there is someone much better at swordplay than him, but before saying anything more, they are called because the Southern Creature attacked Sindria. Both Alibaba and Morgiana are surprised seeing the reaction of people around them. After meeting with Aladdin, they are shown Sharrkan defeating the monster. Alibaba is stunned seeing how beautifully Sharrkan plated it, and comments that he's very skillful. After that, Sharrkan is officially introduced to Alibaba as his new fencing teacher. Even though Sharrkan is very happy that Alibaba wants to improve his swordplay, he can't even remember his name. Yamraiha warns Alibaba to not be infected by Sharrkan's idioticy, then they start fighting. Alibaba is stunned at this situation, and can't believe when these two wants to compete and check whose disciple is better. Sharrkan wants to drag Alibaba to train immediately, but Sinbad stops them and says they have a celebration tonight.^[40]

During Mahrajan Festival, Alibaba says to Sinbad that this feast is incredible. He is then said to go and enjoy the festival. He soon meets Aladdin who was masked and gets his own mask from him. He then gets flowers from some girl and begins to wonder where Morgiana is. Then the girl takes off the mask and reveals herself to be Morgiana in person. He is dumbfounded by her appearance. Morgiana explains why she's dressed like this, and Aladdin comments that it really suits her. In the end, he is able to confirm and says she looks so beautiful that he though she was someone else. When she turns around, he can't wonders if he's said something wrong.^[41]

Alibaba asks Morgiana then whether it's alright for her to be with them, because she wanted to go back to the Dark Continent before. He wants explains that it's possible to take a direct ship from Reim Empire. She responds that she wants to fight with Al-Thamen alongside Aladdin and Alibaba and asks for their permission. Alibaba, shocked, thinks it's a little too much to asks that, but Aladdin asks if he isn't glad and happily answers that she can if she wants to. After hearing that, without any more doubts, he answers that Aladdin is right. Then they are seeing Morgiana dancing. He loudly says she's beautiful, but quickly tells other girls that they're beautiful as well.^[42]

Later, he goes a little away from Mahrajan's place with Aladdin. He asks him what he thinks of Al-Thamen. Alibaba says he cannot forgive them for what they've done to Kassim and how they induced him to believe he was a trash. He then adds that he also can't forgive himself because he wasn't able to stop him before their final confrontation. He is sure that no matter what you did, people can't become a trash and if there are more people like that, he wants to stop them. He states that he wants to fight for this reason. Aladdin says he will fight along with him, as to clear darkness was a reason for his birth. They also says that Sinbad is incredible as king. However, Aladdin says that Alibaba will become like that too; that one day in a distant future, he will become a king. Alibaba is speechless.^[43] During they way back, Alibaba still wonders about his small friend's words. He apologizes for delaying this topic for so long and says that Aladdin is incredible, waiting for him to realize this kind of things. Aladdin asks what is he talking about but adds to take care of him in the future as well.^[44]

After that, they meet up with Morgiana and others. Sinbad properly introduces Eight Generals to them. He explains Morgiana what is a Gladiator, since Masrur was introduced as such. He is stunned when he sees Hinahoho, and stops Aladdin from going to Drakon's wife. After mentioning everyone, Sinbad says that Eight Generals are people in situation similar to that of Alibaba. He realizes that there are people with their own problems from another countries, that are living in Sindria in harmony with each other. During blessing for Sinbad, he is amazed by fireworks. Aladdin says that Sindria is a small island and a big country and Alibaba clearly agrees.^[45] In the morning, Sinbad announces to him that one of Kou Empire's royal family, Prince Hakuryuu Ren will come to Sindria to study. Alibaba is then requested to carefully supervise him, even if it might be hard for him because of Balbadd's situation. Alibaba agrees.^[46]

After some time of strict training under Sharrkan, Amon finally moves to his new Metal Vessel. Alibaba thinks to himself that Sharrkan is like a different person during training. Sharrkan wants Alibaba to attack him with his Djinn Weapon Equip, but all his attacks are blocked. Sharrkan voices his disappointment and points out that there's better way of using his Djinn Weapon Equip, as currently Amon's sword isn't good enough for Alibaba. The youngest Saluja doesn't fully understands what he meant by this though. Then, Sharrkan wants to take Alibaba on a drink, not caring about his objections and the will to continue training.^[47]

Then, Alibaba is present when the ship with Hakuryuu and Kougyoku reaches Sindria. He watches with a curiosity when Kougyoku accused Sinbad of shaming her.^[48] After things quieted down, he and Aladdin go to meet Hakuryuu. Seeing Hakuryuu expressing his gratefulness for helping his sister, Alibaba thinks that he didn't expect such a nice guy. Hakuryuu then is called, so he apologizes for not being able to talk with Alibaba much and wants to do so on the next occasion. Alibaba then thinks for a while, so Aladdin asks him what's wrong. Alibaba answers that Hakuryuu reminded him of someone, but he couldn't figure out who.^[49]

After that, they meet up with Morgiana, who brought her newly made Household Vessel. Aladdin wants her to try them out. She puts it on her feet and tries to kick, but she ensnares Alibaba and Aladdin. Morgiana gets a little down, so Alibaba asks her what is wrong. She explains it's because no matter where she puts them, they are only ornaments and she doesn't know how to use them in a fight. Aladdin asks her what she wants to do with it and she replies that she wants a strength that will be useful for the two of them. Alibaba says she's strong enough, but remembers that he was able to fight with the enemy in the air thanks to her throw. Aladdin adds he was saved by her mid-air as well and that it's incredible when she's with them, because it's like they have wings. She thinks about something, smiles and says to them that she will become their wings. Alibaba is worried about what she might have imagined.^[50]

When Alibaba, Morgiana and Aladdin are training, they are interrupted by Hakuryuu and Kougyoku. Kougyoku wants to become, at least temporarily, Aladdin's ally and he agrees, but soon the two of them starts fighting. Morgiana follows them, leaving Hakuryuu and Alibaba alone. Alibaba explains that a lot happened between them in Balbadd. Hakuryuu asks what about him, and suggest not to hide his hatred for Hakuryuu, even though he doesn't expect Alibaba to just go and speak honestly with a foe. Alibaba says he doesn't hide anything, but Hakuryuu still thinks otherwise, saying that his country did and probably does even now, horrible things to Balbadd, as the one dispatched in Balbadd as western campaign governor is first Prince of Kou Empire, Kouen Ren. He then explains how strong and fearsome Kouen is, then adds that he was prepared to be hated from a Prince from enemy country. Alibaba, however, clearly states that he decided not to hate Hakuryuu, shocking him. Then, he says not to worry because Hakuryuu is not his enemy; Hakuryuu didn't do anything after all. He happily adds to, someday, speak frankly with each other, confusing Hakuryuu even more.^[51]

Later, he is asked by Sinbad to capture the Dungeon Zagan along with the rest of his group.^[52]

Zagan ArcEdit

During their trip to the Dungeon Zagan, Alibaba and Aladdin have fun with dolphins, which are obedient thanks to the Pisti's Household Vessel. After spending time on playing, Aladdin thanks Pisti for enable them such an entertainment, but she asks him why he doesn't call her "Miss". She explains that despite her appearance, she's actually year older than Alibaba, which surprises him deeply. She notices it and adds that she also has much more experience than him. Next, they are called for lunch, prepared by Hakuryuu. Alibaba is amazed because of his skills. Morgiana then comments she imagined quite a different person, and Alibaba agrees, voicing his astonishment for him going with them. Then, he recalls what Sinbad told to them before going from Sindria. Aladdin bursts on his thoughts, saying that he can see an island. After that, Pisti explains that the island they're close to is not part of Sindria's territory, so they should behave. Then, Alibaba remembers Sinbad's words that someone he knows well will wait there for him.^[53]

After a while, the group arrives at the island. There Alibaba meets his older brothers, Ahbmad and Sahbmad. Alibaba is speechless at first, but soon starts laughing happily. He then asks Sahbmad what they are doing now and finds out they're part of Sindria's archaeology group. A little later, some Toran kids offers Aladdin and Hakuryuu flowers, but Sahbmad quickly explains that it's not for free. Alibaba thinks he was doing the same thing in the past, while living in slums. Then, Alibaba is stunned seeing Ahbmad giving recompense to children, but still thanks him. His brother says it's not needed, since they don't want any problems with local people because otherwise, they wouldn't be allowed to continue they're research on Toran's culture. Alibaba comments that Ahbmad is zealous about this job. Ahbmad states he decided this is the best thing he can do right now. Alibaba says that he has somewhat changed. Sahbmad smiles and says that their oldest brother had the chance to contemplate about many things, and this time he wants to talk about these things with Alibaba and Aladdin. Next, the group heads toward Village Chief to get a permission to enter the Dungeon. When they don't get one, Alibaba protests that they've already conquered a Dungeon, and in the end, they are allowed to go. After a little more talk, Alibaba and the rest meets three merchants, Dunya Musta'sim, Isaac and Ithnan.^[54]

Next morning, the group boards a boat and heads toward Zagan's island. As they finally get to the place, Aladdin asks how they will come back, and Alibaba answers he told them he would light up a fire as soon as they're done, but Morgiana says she will carry them from one reef to another. Alibaba and Aladdin notices she has put her shackles on her arms, and she nods with a sentence that they still can't do anything particular.^[55]

After that, the company climbs up wondering if they're arrived. When they finally sees Zagan, Alibaba, who seems quite tired, notices that something is wrong with Morgiana. She replies that she saw something shining and right after that, they're pulled to the Dungeon's sacred gate. Alibaba is instantly reminded of what happened in Amon's Dungeon and is determinated to conquer the Dungeon this time as well. However, he hears Amon's voice who doesn't want to do it. Amon then asks Alibaba what are his intentions, and whether he wants to have an affair with another Djinn as well. Amon complains questioning Alibaba, if he's dissatisfied with him. Alibaba thinks that at first Amon gave him an impression of powerful Djinn and now wonders if he always was such a whinny and jealous old man, who's even sulking right now. After that, Amon explains that there is no need for Alibaba to have more than one Metal Vessel, and, what's more, he doesn't have ability to have them anyway, since Alibaba's Magoi is too low for this. Alibaba is quite depressed hearing it, but Amon adds that he carries unusual potential with him. He says that Alibaba often risked his life for others and he, as his humble servant, decided to devote his power to such a master. Amon then tells Alibaba to complete his Djinn Equip. Alibaba thanks Amon as he runs toward him. After that, he sleeps thinking he's calm, feels like he became bigger and wonders if it's the feeling of becoming one with Amon. He thinks that he is held by arms of a strong, magnificent hero. When he regains his consciousness, he notices he it was Morgiana who held him, and is a little embarrassed of what he thought. He then asks where they are, and Morgiana explains they're right before the staring point. She then picks up the other three to take them down, and Hakuryuu starts complaining about how heavy they must be, but Alibaba calms him down by saying that otherwise she'll punch him.^[56]

Alibaba is amazed by Dungeon Zagan's appearance. He comments he has heard only bad thing about it, but it's beautiful. He talks with Aladdin about this, showing how happy he is. Then, the group meets a talking turtle and he is quite surprised about it. He quickly remembers that it should be normal that such creatures exists in the Dungeon. After that, they see how the monsters live, and Alibaba comments that they have communal system of livelihood, similar to theirs. He exclaims that this place isn't weird and they should be able to conquer this Dungeon easily, as long as they will keep its rules.^[57]

Then, the group encounters a Giant Bear. Alibaba reassures them that there's nothing to fear from it, but soon gets attacked. Alibaba slashes the Bear with Amol Saika, and Aladdin finishes the battle with Harhar Infigar.^[58] After that, Alibaba asks Hakuryuu if he's alright as he's face is pale, but Hakuryuu answers that he is. When Hakuryuu thanks for the help, Alibaba comments he is too serious. Soon after, the group finds out that a Toran's girl, Tiare, who wanted to come with them to rescue her parents, followed them after all. When Hakuryuu apologizes for it, Alibaba says he's so serious that it's troublesome. He then gets closer to Tiare, and in the Toran Language reassures her that they are strong and will successfully conquer this Dungeon. However, Fake Zagan appears and says he won't let it happen. He then takes Tiare, but before Alibaba and Hakuryuu could do anything, Amon borrows Alibaba's Magoi and materializes. Alibaba watches their talk. After that, he talks with Amon. After a few sentences, Amon bid a farewell to Alibaba, saying they won't meet for a while. Then he says he will soon give a birth, leaving Alibaba totally stunned, who later comments it was a little gross.^[59]

The company enters to the next room and meets docile rabbit-like creatures, which are sitting on flying cubes. Alibaba, Aladdin, Morgiana and Hakuryuu decide to go that way, but Fake Zagan raises the level of the Dungeon and creatures becomes furious. As they are protected by Borg, Alibaba tries to cuts them with Amol Saika, which works. However, Alibaba has a low amount of Magoi left and he can't reach them since they're floating, so Aladdin does a quick job with them using Harhar Rasars, and, by the end of the fight, Alibaba comes in and defeats them, as Magicians play a supporting role.^[60]

After the fight, Alibaba asks Aladdin what was this new move, and Aladdin explains it like a Magician would, but quickly adds that this is what Yamraiha told him. Alibaba takes him and lightly hits him for fun. Then, Hakuryuu requests that the group could let him conquer this Dungeon without lending him their powers. He says he has to do it alone and asks Alibaba to not pretend that he understands him, when he tells him that he knows how he feels. Former Balbadd's Prince wants to tell him his story, but they are interrupted by Fake Zagan, who decides to divide them into two groups. Alibaba is paired with Aladdin. When they are under attack by Fake Zagan's Golems, he quickly slashes them with Amol Saika. He is wondering how Hakuryuu and Morgiana are doing. After the split paths ended, the four is reunited again. Hakuryuu, who lost consciousness, wakes up, and Alibaba says he looks like he was having a nightmare. Seeing Hakuryuu's state, he worries if he's really alright.^[61]

After some time Fake Zagan once again appears and says there's someone who drags them down, meaning Hakuryuu. When Kou's Prince starts crying, Alibaba is completely shocked along with the others. When Alibaba tries to calm his down, Hakuryuu cries out asking why someone so irresponsible, who even abandoned his own country, is so strong. Morgiana, hearing this insult tries to fight him back, and so does Aladdin, but both of them are quickly taken aback. Later, when Hakuryuu finally calms down a little, Alibaba tries to approach him and says he can't do everything alone. However, Hakuryuu starts badmouthing him again, concluding he's different from him and has to do it alone. Alibaba gets a little angry and tells him about his past mistakes, which included not borrowing other people's strength and letting many people die, including Kassim. While trembling, he says there surely was a way to save him and because he wasn't able to find it, he killed it. Saying that, he starts crying as well. While trying to wipe his tears out, he tells him that he just wants to say that people can't do everything by themselves, and Hakuryuu says he understands. Then he asks them if they will let him fight alongside them, and Alibaba replies positively with a smile.^[62]

Next, Alibaba and company, after eating, discuss what they will do if the food runs out. They also talks about how creatures in Dungeon resembles humans. Not much later Fake Zagan explains to them that they indeed are humans. Alibaba, as well as other, looks terrified. He decides to fight Fake Zagan and everyone else agrees. They starts fighting. Morgiana notices that atmosphere between Alibaba and Hakuryuu is now much better. When she gets carries away, Alibaba reprimands her for it, but she answers she's really happy.^[63]

The group finally finds Fake Zagan's body. Alibaba, provoked, slashes his head and makes everyone surprised it went so easy. In the next moment, they are proven wrong. Fake Zagan makes multiple versions of himself and hurts Alibaba and Hakuryuu. Aladdin proposes to retreat for the moment and Morgiana agrees, taking two Princes with her. When they try to run away, Fake Zagan split a ground and they fall down. Fake Zagan warms them that it's his real body and if they fall in his mouth, his gastric juices will kill him. Aladdin unfurls his Turban, but it hooks on branches and they keeps falling. Morgiana is unable to caught them at first, but soon her Household Vessel activates. She catches them with chains from her shackles from one arm and keeps herself in the wall thanks to the other one. They are successfully able to come back to the place they started falling from.^[64]

After that, Morgiana decides to fight Fake Zagan herself, surprising Aladdin and Alibaba. After the sound of fight quietens, men go to her. Alibaba nervously holds her, tries to wake her up and asks what happened, while Aladdin is wiping her blood. He comments that she doesn't seem to have any Magoi left, so she used too much Magoi on that move and that she probably didn't have much Magoi to begin with. Hakuryuu says that if you do something like that, you could even lose your life. What's more, she can't recover by herself and has to see a doctor, terrifying Alibaba even more. Morgiana wakes up and tries to stand, but is quickly stopped. She weakly says that she it's hard to believe she could finally be use to everyone and falls asleep again, leaving Alibaba trembling. He takes her hand says she did enough and assures her to immediately takes her from there and heal her. Hakuryuu asks how since they killed the Djinn, but Aladdin tells them it wasn't real Djinn. Alibaba leaves Morgiana in Hakuryuu's arms and goes to Aladdin. Then, Fake Zagan appears along with Tiare. Alibaba prepares to fight him, but is stopped by him, who explains who he is. After hearing it was only a trick, Alibaba gets angry. However, he soon calms down when he hears they will be taken to the Treasure Room.^[65]

Fake Zagan explains the way but is suddenly killed by unknown people from faraway spot. Aladdin orders the group to quickly head toward the Treasure Room. Alibaba wonders what happened to Aladdin, whose forehead started shining. Then the whole company starts running, but before they could do open the door, they were stopped by three merchants they met before: Dunya, Isaac and Ithnan, who happens to be from Al-Thamen. Ithnan says that since the Balbadd's incident, Aladdin and Alibaba were the objective of their interest. Alibaba recalls Balbadd's battles and realizes who they are. He then pass Morgiana to Hakuryuu.^[66]

Dunya officially introduces herself as the princess of Musta'sim Kingdom and Isaac as her knight. She looks happy when she notices that Alibaba knows her country, but he says he heard it was destroyed by Magnostadt. When Aladdin declines the offer to let Dunya obtain Zagan, she aims at Hakuryuu, Morgiana and Tiare, but misses them. She exclaims she will kill them all with her Dark Metal Vessel, which annoys Alibaba. Then, Dunya stabs herself with the Dark Metal Vessel. Alibaba watches it terrified, remembering that Kassim had the same expression as she.^[67]

Dunya starts her attack. Aladdin protects Alibaba with Borg. Alibaba wants to help him, but is stopped by Isaac. He has many problems with him, as Isaac swordplay is at highest level, and Alibaba can't cut him. Isaac yawns saying that Alibaba is way too slow and wonders why Aladdin chose him instead of Dunya. Realizing that Isaac's skills are exceeding his, he recalls Sharrkan's words about how his sword doesn't suit him. He dismiss his Djinn Weapon Equip, concentrates and changes it into new version, Amon's Royal Sword. Because this sword is much lighter and suits Alibaba more, he can finally use royal swordplay he learned in Balbadd freely, as its his weapon, not a sword. Isaac thinks it's still not enough and slightly hurts Alibaba, but is then cut with Alibaba's slashes.^[68]

Alibaba then joins Aladdin, but soon are attacked by Ithnan who doesn't want them to end it quickly. Dunya changes her form from the Black Djinn to the Black Djinn Equip. She starts attacking mostly Aladdin, so Alibaba interferes and cuts chains she tied him with. Dunya then orders Isaac to fight again, and he activates his Household Metal, Al Kaus Kauza. He is so fast, that Alibaba can't keep up at all. Aladdin protects him and suggest fighting to stall time.^[69] After that, Hakuryuu joins them. Then, Dunya summons her Extreme Magic, Rea Baldo. Before its full activation, Alibaba fights Isaac again. He still can't do much damage and begins to curse, since he promised to help his friends because he is strong, remembering what he has said to Sinbad and Tiare, and recalls Morgiana's bad state as well. However, it still doesn't change anything, and when Isaac almost pierces him, Hakuryuu protects him and it's his arm which gets pierced. He gives Aladdin a sign who uses Sharrar Raaki. Nevertheless, Isaac is still alive, so Alibaba slashes him only to find out, that he is empty in the inside. Then, Rea Baldo activates.^[70]

Alibaba, Aladdin and Hakuryuu are still alive thanks to Aladdin's Sharrar Sarab, which used steam created by Sharrar Raaki. Then, Dunya wants Isaac to defeat them, and so he tries. However, even he is running out of Magoi and his speed decreases. Alibaba takes the occasion and cuts his head, which happens to be empty as well. Aladdin explains that Isaac is just a doll made of iron sand, which moved thanks to Dunya's magnetic power. Isaac can't stand and becomes just a sand. It break Dunya and she starts crying. Alibaba, confused, wonders who are they, since they might have been used for some reasons, just like Kassim. Aladdin then uses Wisdom of Solomon to find turn of fate, "falling into depravity" in her memories. All memories are seen by Alibaba and others. Aladdin then brings Issac's rukh to Dunya and explains to Alibaba and Hakuryuu the meaning of fate, rukh's guidance. Dunya's rukh turns white.^[71]

Alibaba takes Morgiana, who is in even worse shape, as the group runs toward the Treasure Room. As only getting out of the Dungeon might help her, Alibaba picks his Metal Vessel up and begs Amon for help in finding Zagan. He is able to do it and Zagan appears. Much to the astonishment of the quartet, Zagan apologizes to Aladdin for what his creatures did. Besides, he also gives Morgiana some of his magoi and she's getting better. Alibaba thinks that, unlike his copies, the real one is really kind, and then Zagan barfs on him. While trying to clean himself, Alibaba thinks that Zagan is detestable after all.^[72]

Zagan chooses for his King, Hakuryuu. Hakuryuu doesn't fully agree, and Zagan notices that he thinks that Alibaba would be better as his master. Zagan however says that he wouldn't work under the same master as Amon, and above all, Alibaba wasn't even able to master Amon. Alibaba thinks he's right, since this time his only accomplishment was his Djinn Weapon Equip. He then thinks that Sharrkan, who wanted him to be the best, will kill him for sure. Then, he watches with a smile as Tiare finds her parents, wants to take all treasures from the Dungeon, and asks Hakuryuu if he's wasn't poisoned when he was bitten by the snake.^[73]

During their come back, Alibaba is alone. He wishes they weren't separated this time. When he arrives, he sees what Al-Thamen members, who came to kill him and Aladdin, has done. He notices that all his friends have been injured. Aladdin can barely talk, but he tries to explain the situation to Alibaba. Aladdin ends the story with saying that he was able to block Al-Thamen's attacks for a while, but he used too much stamina for Wisdom of Solomon. When Zurmudd activates his Extreme Magic, Al Yatsudo, he covers Morgiana. Thanks to it, Morgiana wounds are lighter then these of her comrades, and she can protect them for a while. Zurmudd quickly finishes her off, but then Masrur, Sharrkan and Yamraiha appear to save them.^[74]

Alibaba, who is too weakened to even stand, apologizes to Sharrkan. His master takes his hand and reassures him that they did a good job with capturing Zagan. Alibaba attentively watches only Sharrkan's fight and occasionally comments which swordsman is better. When Sharrkan gets hurt, Alibaba defends him until Sharrkan activates his Household Vessel, Foraz Saika. After he defeats Byoln, Alibaba stays with him during Yamraiha's and Apollonius's battle. Later, Sharrkan asks Alibaba how he possibly could lose against someone like that, and Alibaba, scared, apologizes. Masrur points out that Sharrkan is injured as well and he starts moving and hitting him, so Alibaba reprimands him that his wound will open.^[75]

Second Sindria ArcEdit

During Dungeon Conqueror's Banquet, Alibaba sits along with Yamraiha and Sharrkan, and watches Aladdin fooling around. After Hakuryuu loses his arm and Ithnan appears, he fights along with Sharrkan and Aladdin to defeat him. Unfortunately, he and Sinbad get cursed by Ithnan, who uses Curse Magic on them. Ithnan explains it's "invitation letter" from "Father", who orders them to surrender and become Black Kings. He then says that this curse will possess their blood vessels and dye their Rukh black. They will fall into depravity. Soon after, Ithnan retreats. Later, Alibaba sits in the same room as Aladdin, Sinbad and his Eight Generals. He asks what they should do with this curse. Sinbad reassures the rest that curses don't exist and it's most probably magic, which Yamraiha confirms. However, she's never seen such a magic which directly attacks other people's Magoi and she can't undo it. Aladdin says he will do it.

A little later, Alibaba is seen struggling with the curse inside of magic circle created by Yamraiha. Magoi of the caster took a shape and is going wild inside of his body, making him suffer. Because of enemy's Rukh going through his whole body, undoing it could even kill him. Sinbad, who has gone to fight Ithnan, comes back and asks about Alibaba's condition. He notices that progress of the curse is slow. Yamraiha confirms it's because of her suppressing it indeed, but also his resistance is stronger than normal. Sinbad persuades Aladdin to help him, and so he does. He gets inside Alibaba thanks to Solomon's Wisdom. There he sees a pure world and both good, heart-warming memories of Alibaba, and bad ones, which made him suffer. After that, he finds Ithnan. Ithnan comments he doesn't like this place because of its pureness and adds there is another existence that is in his way other than Alibaba. In the real world, Yamraiha and Sinbad notice that the curse is getting weaker. After Aladdin erases Ithnan's existence from Alibaba's Rukh, he talks to someone inside Alibaba, whose part joined him and helped to slow down the curse.

After being completely cured, Alibaba goes for a walk. He accidentally steps on Kougyoku's flowers, for which he immediately apologizes. Kougyoku, angry that she met him, says that she heard he collapsed and asks if he's alright now. He replies he is. When Kougyoku thinks about how unlucky she might be if she ended up marrying him, he makes a coronet for her. She surprises him by asking how he did it. He shows her how, and she comments he is skillful. Next, he, along with Morgiana, talks to Hakuryuu as he announces he's going to depart from Sindria. Morgiana asks him if he's going to go back to the Kou Empire, but he explains he's wants to join his sister before. When asked what Alibaba and Morgiana are going to do, Alibaba says with smile that they're going to stay there a little longer and asks Morgiana if he's right, but she can't answer. Hakuryuu then asks Alibaba if he's okay with Balbadd's situation, but he quickly says he believes that Alibaba has some plans about it. Then, he voices his thoughts about Alibaba, but Alibaba says that Hakuryuu already told him that, back in the Dungeon Zagan. Hakuryuu ends the conversation with a statement that Alibaba will surely follow the path he believes in. Alibaba doesn't have much words for this.

Later that day, Alibaba chats in a bed with Morgiana and Aladdin. Alibaba informs his friend about Hakuryuu's decision and says he will miss him. Aladdin decides to tell them that he will go on a journey alone, which totally shocks Alibaba. He asks for Aladdin's purpose and when he learns it's for a study, he comments he could do it with Yamraiha. Aladdin explains he has also other reasons and that he can't remain in Sindria because of Sinbad's radiance. Alibaba thinks that journey could indeed be a good idea and asks Morgiana if they're going with him, but Aladdin states they can't. Alibaba tries to argue with Aladdin, but is pushed to a corner. Aladdin says he wants to make Alibaba a king, but not king of some country, but someone who can give hope to others. What's more, he comments that both of them are too weak to fight Al-Thamen, as they couldn't even save a large number of people in Balbadd. Alibaba still screams that if he wants to train, he will go with him, but Aladdin tells him he has to think for himself what he wants to do. The next day, Morgiana recalls he didn't even want to get out of the bed in the morning.

Later, he comes with Sharrkan to have a drink, which he rarely does. He quickly gets drunk and complains about Aladdin being cold toward him. Sharrkan wants to justify Aladdin's point of view and says he already decided to follow Sinbad, but it shouldn't be so easy for the Prince of another country. Alibaba burbles it's not like this, and it annoys Sharrkan, who responsibly tells him to go through warrior's training that has nothing to do with him being the Prince, or become a Gladiator in Reim Empire's Colosseum. Then, a woman tries to join their conversation, but Alibaba quickly brasses her off, arguing he's in the middle of man-to-man talk with his master. Sharrkan's level of irritation goes beyond the level and he kicks Alibaba out of the bar. He then lies on the ground, drunk, with a single tear in his eye and sighs thinking he doesn't understand Aladdin's behaviour. He then reassures himself that Aladdin will change his mind by tomorrow.

During Dunya Musta'sim's funeral, Alibaba stands along with Aladdin, Morgiana and Hakuryuu. Hearing the conversation between two people, he recalls how Dunya's body looked, which was just like Kassim's. He then says to Aladdin that he wonders what the Dark Metal Vessel really is.

Later, he is seen training. He still thinks about Aladdin's intention to depart on the same ship as Hakuryuu, but also notices that Morgiana has been lately thinking about something, and Hakuryuu has been spacing out much recently. He also comments that he doesn't make any progress in terms of his Djinn Equip. He chafes and swindles his sword aimlessly, almost hurting Kougyoku, who came to him. She shows him how well-made her coronet now is. Seeing how he's in a middle of training, she thinks of it as a good occasion. She asks him for a duel and Djinn Equips, ordering him to do the same. When he tries to inform her he can't do it, Sinbad comes and asks her to show him her power. Alibaba attentively watches their battle, sometimes commenting on what's happening and showing his surprised face.

After their battle, he talks with Sinbad next to asleep Kougyoku. He worries about not being able to perform Djinn Equip when even such a girl can do it. Sinbad says that her talent is indeed above average, but Alibaba has a talent as well. He tells him there must be a reason why he still can't do that and promises to find some spare time to find this reason tomorrow, which makes Alibaba very happy. He then recalls Aladdin's statement about Sinbad's radiance, but can't understand what's wrong with it.

Later, Kougyoku wakes up and he tells her what happened during her fight with Sinbad. He comments that his Djinn Equip was amazing, and Koygyoku asks what about hers. He happily answers she was incredible too. She says it was a lot of fun and that she made up her mind, to go back to her own country. She also tells him she will talk with her brother, Kouen. Hearing this name immediately makes Alibaba remember Hakuryuu saying he is a leader in Balbadd. He then asks Kougyoku what if she had to fight Sinbad, but she answers that he was her first love, shocking him. She continues saying that she understands she could never be his love interest, but she loves him nonetheless. She followed him all the way to Sindria, says she's an idiot and starts crying. Alibaba is dumbfounded and automatically passes her a handchief. She then thanks him, bud adds she alright now and that even though she had a lot of fun with a person she loves, it's the end. Then, she asks Alibaba to listen to her story. Her past is similar to that of Alibaba. She continues with a statement that Judar and Kouen acknowledged her a warrior and that made her thinks it's the reason she's alive. After that, she clearly speaks her mind that she won't fight against Sindria. Later, Alibaba tells her his story. Kougyoku demands he became her friends. He is surprised at first, but she adds she never had any friends and they're the same, so he has to do it. He, still surprised, formally says that he is pleased to meet her, but she gets angry and hits him in the head. She reprimands him for being so formal with a "friend" and he says he understands. Then, he pulls out his hand with a words of her being his friend, and she gladly accepts.

When Kougyoku departs from Sindria, he sends her off as he was her close friend. However, atmosphere between him and the rest of Team Zagan is still awkward. He boards the same ship as them, but hides himself.

Pirates ArcEdit

Alibaba sits in a room alone. He thinks that he missed the occasion to tell his friends that he's going with them and decided to wait for them until they go to sleep. However, frightened, he realizes that Aladdin, Morgiana and Hakuryuu went into the different room. He wonders if he should go to them, since they're having fun, but decides to wait until they'll notice that something, namely him, is missing. During his visualization, when that happens, he will go to them and tells them that they're pathetic while hugging them and listen to Aladdin's crying voice which tells him "I love you". He then eavesdrops them. When they start giggling, he scratches the wall. Then, things he imagined come true to the some point, because what Alibaba's friends are missing is an all-inclusive breakfast. Alibaba gets depressed and wonders if they completely forgot about him, when he hears Hakuryuu asking the rest what they think of him. Alibaba is totally excited until he hears indifferent response from Aladdin, who, asked if he really like him, replies that he was just a first person he met after coming to this world. This shocks Alibaba who recalls when Aladdin said that he will become a king, because he really likes him. Then, Aladdin adds that Alibaba is really unpopular and when Aladdin is having fun with girls, he looks at him jealous while sulking his finger. Alibaba is speechless. Then, Morgiana recalls the moment when she came into his room and his bottom was openly exposed. Alibaba can't even stand because of the shock he received. He realizes that all good things they were saying about him were just a lies. Alibaba starts crying, wondering if that's what they really thought about him.

Then, the group comes into his room and asks for forgiveness. They explain to Alibaba that it was only a joke, but he, when he remembers what they said, starts crying again. Aladdin tells him to get hold of himself, and Hakuryuu agrees with this, but adds that he's crying to much to be a real man. Alibaba gets mad, retorting that Hakuryuu has no right to talk and eventually wants to settle this outside, but Aladdin calms him down. Still, when Morgiana says that what she's said really had happened, Hakuryuu wants to kill him. Then, Aladdin asks what Alibaba wants to do, because only Magicians can enter Magnostadt. Alibaba says that he hasn't come here to follow him, so Hakuryuu asks if he felt lonely and decided to board a ship. Alibaba screams that he came here in order to train. He says he will become a Gladiator in the Reim Empire. Aladdin and company wants to know why would he do such a thing, but Alibaba answers he doesn't feel like it. In the end, Alibaba acquiesces to tell them. It's because Sinbad told him that the quality of his Magoi changed, and because of it, he will never be able to achieve Djinn Equipping. He took his advice to learn Magoi Manipulation from the Yambala Gladiators. When Alibaba wants (and triest) to explain this matter further, Hakuryuu does it for him. When the same situation repeats, Alibaba gets depressed at first, and then scream that he said all he wanted to.

Some time later, Alibaba finishes every Southern Creature that attacked a ship. He explains he got carried away because he's not popular and wanted to show good things about him, which shows that he still keeps grudge over it. Hakuryuu says that next time he will do it, and Alibaba asks if he could do it. Then, Alibaba notices that Morgiana is looking at something and asks what's wrong. She is able to see a fire from a great distance. Olba, one of Aum Madaura's children, appears and says she has a great eyes. He attacks a boat they're on and says that they are pirates. Alibaba fights alongside the rest to help save the ship. Olba gets angry and uses Ala Rasars. Alibaba is able to destroy this floating ball, but only to fall to the sea. Morgiana tries to catch them with chains, but is attacked from behind and falls herself. She, along with Alibaba and Aladdin, is soon saved by Hakuryuu, who makes plants, kind of Life Magic. Then Hakuryuu almost successfully defeats all opponents, but they take captain as a hostage. Pirates are able to escape.

After that, the Aktia Kingdom's Navy comes to them and takes them to the Aktia Kingdom. They then hear about Aum Madaura's acts of kidnapping children. The group is amazed by Hakuryuu's ability and plan to search Aum Madaura. After seeing how badly people from slums are treated by Aktia's Navy, Alibaba decides to help them, since they remind him Balbadd's people, and no one opposes. One of them starts thanking Alibaba and says that they don't have any money, but Alibaba replies that they don't need that. He then addresses to Kassim in his thoughts. He asks him if he's right that his friends wanted to save that kind of people. He adds that he will fight for the Kassim's sake as well.

Later, he tells ship's captain that they will borrow their precious ship. Then, he looks curiously at Aladdin and Morgiana as they talk with Sinbad and Yamraiha trough the Eye of the Rukh. Then, he asks Hakuryuu if he completed Djinn Equip, and when his friend refuses to tell him the truth, he puts the acid on him. However, Hakuryuu still doesn't tell him the answer.

The group reaches to the Aum Madaura's place, however, they are instantly attacked. Thanks to Aladdin's Harhar Rasars they seem to have an advantage, but it doesn't last long. Alibaba is attacked, but before he can slash the ball, Olba makes it fly up. After some time pirates retreats and they are left alone. Opponents however have only hidden. Morgiana notices this and warns Aladdin about enemy behind him, but says it a little too late. Aladdin and the others are attacked, but pirates still hides themselves. Then, Morgiana starts running and climbs to one of holes. Then, she comes back saying she defeated them all. Alibaba happily exclaims it was great.

Then, pirates ask for Aum Madaura's help. She breaks the ground, making Alibaba and company fall into water. As Morgiana can't swim, Alibaba and others wants to quickly takes her from that place. They are however attacked by Aum Madaura, who uses Roaring Cold Wave Cannon, similar to Judar's attack and calls it Sarg Arsarros, which is the same name which uses the mentioned Magi. She wants to stab Morgiana and Hakuryuu, but Alibaba protects them with Amol Saika. Aum Madaura notices that he can't do much with Heat Magic underwater and Alibaba knows it too, but doesn't want to see how his precious comrades are frozen. He notices that one of pirates' Magic Tools move very fast and uses it to increase his acceleration. He says he can't lose to the same techniques of Al-Thamen again and barges into Aum Madaura's ship.

On the enemy's boat, they are attacked by Aum Madaura's children. They are able to escape, but Hakuryuu comments that even following orders of the one who raised them is no good reason to hurt people. Morgiana says she also used to hurt people because of the very same reason. After that, Alibaba tells them that he always listened to his mother and asks Hakuryuu if it was the same for him. Kou Empire's Prince replies he doesn't know what it is to have a real mother because his sister raised him. Aladdin says that he used to feel lonely because he doesn't have a family and that he would be incredibly happy if a mother appeared. Alibaba comes to a conclusion that Aum Madaura took an advantage of this feeling and Morgiana comments she won't forgive her.

The group finally reaches Aum Madaura. Before they are able to do anything, Great Holy Mother uses Magic Tool, Holy Mother Halo Fan and casts a spell on them. Alibaba doesn't notice a difference besides strange feeling, but Morgiana is very quickly affected. Alibaba is shocked when she says Aum Madaura's her mother and tries to convince her it's enemy's trick. During his talk he begins to cry against his will. He tries to fight it, but soon fall under spell himself. He can see his own mother who understands all hardships he had to overcome and wants to give him a hug. Alibaba understands it's only a spell, but still can't attack her. He wants to rely on her. He then recalls his conversation with Sinbad after he came back from the talks with the Kou Empire. Even though he thanks Sinbad, he wonders if it's really okay. He thinks that Balbadd should be something more for him. He surprises himself that he's doubting Sinbad and adds that he's not in position to influence Balbadd anymore. Then, his "mother" comes and tells him not to think about it, to forget his troubles. When he thinks it's fine like this, Aladdin interferes and says she's not his mother. And even if she were, he should live for himself. Aladdin is less affected because he never met his real mother. After freeing Morgiana from spell's effect, the three of them opposite Aum Madaura. Alibaba apologizes to Aladdin for showing him such a bad side of himself Aum Madaura comments that they are still physically children, but have the mentality of adults.

Right after that, Hakuryuu, who still is under the spell, attacks them. He uses Djinn Equip himself and fights against them. Eventually Alibaba unleashes Amol Saika, but can't cut Hakuryuu's spear. Morgiana notices it's because of its surface, which is strengthened thanks to Hakuryuu's Magoi Manipulation. Alibaba can't understand why Hakuryuu is doing something like this so desperately. Near to the end of the battle, Morgiana is terrified seeing that Hakuryuu is at his limit of using his Magoi. When Alibaba cuts Hakuryuu's spear, Morgiana and Aladdin gets closer to this. Hakuryuu, before losing consciousness asks if it's Alibaba who did "this" to his mother and Morgiana is sure he meant the one who killed her.

After that, Aktia Kingdom's intervenes and captures Aum Madaura and her crew, which was due to their diplomatic relations with Sindria. Already in Aktia, Morgiana asks what will happen to the children. In response she hears that they will probably be imprisoned. Alibaba says that they're only little children and remembers how happy children in Balbadd were when he drove away the army. Then, citizens want to kill Aum Madaura and Hakuryuu himself executes her, shocking everyone around. Furious Alibaba takes his shirt and wants to know why he did it. Hakuryuu tells him that he really did see in Aum Madaura his own mother, and, as his mission is to kill Al-Thamen witch, his own mother. Hakuryuu, in private, explains Alibaba what he meant, when Olba attacks him. Alibaba stops Hakuryuu when he wants to injure or kill these children.

Seeing how Aktia's soldiers take the pirates, Alibaba asks if they could hand them over to him. He explains how's Sindria related to this matter and eventually wins the negotiations. Then, he goes to Olba. Olba starts lamenting over what happened and Alibaba confirms it, but adds that all of the pirates will depend on here from now on. He continues saying that if he thinks that there's no meaning for him to exist, the rest of pirates will think the same way. Alibaba falls on knees and adds he wants to stop that. Crying, he says that Olba's power is needed to accomplish this and begs him to lend him his power.

Later, he talks with Sinbad and pleads him to accept pirates in Sindria. He thinks that it's only thing he could do, as now he doesn't have a place for them to leave nor power to negotiate with another country. Olba says he doesn't want to become Sindria's dog and adds, that if had to follow someone, the most logical choice would be Alibaba, since he saved his live. He adds they have more then average quantity of Magoi, because he saw how Aum Madaura checked them. Alibaba says he has a favour to ask. It turns out to be a favour, in which Olba takes care of his siblings, since the oldest brother is the one, on who others can rely.

After that, Alibaba and Aladdin meet up with Morgiana, who disappeared earlier, along with Hakuryuu. She says that Hakuryuu left. Alibaba gets flustered and instantly wants to have a talk with him, because he resembles Kassim. He fears that if he continue to live like Kassim, one day he will regret it. However, Morgiana hugs him and begs him not to go. Alibaba is dumbfounded, but doesn't go anywhere.

The night before farewells, the group decides to spend in port city of Aktia. Morgiana seems to be in a bad mood. Alibaba thinks it's because of what Hakuryuu has done to Aum Madaura and wants to raise her spirit. When the party is eating, Aladdin asks Morgiana is she is alright because she hasn't touched her food. Alibaba happily takes a plate with fish and says that her strong point is her physical strength, so she has to eat to her heart's content. When she answers she will be okay, he says that if she says so, he will have to eat that delicious fish. He then slaps it on her face and annoys her, so she eventually eats every fish he serves her. After some of them, she asks if he is now satisfied and he exclaims with a big smile that she is great.

After that, Aladdin says he will take a route toward Magnostadt, and confirms if Alibaba and Morgiana are going to the Reim Empire together. She explains that they are going to different parts of Reim, so they will take different ships as well. Alibaba says that he intends to return in no more the year and the same goes to Morgiana, who wants to go to Sindria as soon as she will see her home village. Aladdin confess that he will take much more time, but they are tied by destiny so they will surely meet again. Alibaba suggests to make a promise and Aladdin agrees. The three of them hits their fists saying they will surely meet again and in one piece. Later, the three of them starts to have fun. Alibaba laughs at Morgiana's funny way of eating. Then, they watch Aladdin dancing. To have some fun as well, Alibaba takes Morgiana's hand and invites her for a dance. She seems curious by his behaviour but doesn't protest and blushes a little. Soon, the whole group is happily dancing.

Later that evening, when the group heads back to sleep, Alibaba notices something. He asks Aladdin to take a detour, to which his small friend says it's alright with him. Morgiana says it's okay with her too, but Alibaba says she should go back and rest because she wasn't feeling good before. She answers she's alright now, so he uses another argument, being that it's dangerous for a girl. When Aladdin is surprised that Alibaba wants to let Morgiana to go home alone in the dark, he says that if someone attacked her, Aladdin should be worried about that people. Aladdin then notices that Alibaba is contradicting himself, but is soon whispered something. Now even Aladdin says she should go, they have some men talks. After confusing her even more, they leave her alone and go to the pleasure house. Alibaba says to the girls that he really likes them, that they are beautiful, incredible, and that he will make them his empresses. Then, he quotes Sharrkan that men need sometimes something like this and recalls his and Aladdin's first meeting. He then orders the most popular girl in the bar, who happens to be called Margaret. Alibaba spills out his drink seeing her. He then asks her if they have met before, thinking about Elizabeth, but she takes it as if he wanted to seduce her. Alibaba quickly denies but the service time starts and he cries in anguish. He was wounded and couldn't sleep at all that night.

In the morning, Aladdin, happily, wakes up everyone. Alibaba quietens him down, as his wounds shake. Then, the trio is finally forced to bid their farewells. When Aladdin and Alibaba exclaims they will become strong when they will meet again, Morgiana says she also will become stronger so she won't lose to them. Alibaba sinks her zeal by reminding her that her objection is not training and asks if she wants to become even stronger. Then, Aladdin says goodbye to them and Morgiana and Alibaba sent him off with a smile. After that, Alibaba is boarding his ship as well, wishing Morgiana good luck. Then, he suddenly turns around. He tells Morgiana that he remembered something about her Household Vessel. He says that as long he will keep his Metal Vessel at hand, she will be able to use Amon's power. She says she understands, but Alibaba reassures her not to worry, confusing her. He exclaims he will never let go of his Metal Vessel, because, even though she is already strong, he wants to become her strength whenever she is in danger. Morgiana doesn't know what to say so she simply thanks him. She is then given beautiful necklace and said to always bring it with her, in case her current Household Vessel broke and she needed something to transfer Household Spirit. Then, he boards his ship.

World Exploration ArcEdit

When Aladdin, Morgiana, Hakuryuu, and Alibaba parts ways, Alibaba goes to the Reim Empire. Here he hopes to be accepted as a Gladiator, and train his Magoi. However, when he arrives, he is starving and weak. He had lost his letter of recommendation from Sinbad for the Colosseum and was robbed of all his money during his way, and was left only with his Metal Vessel. He promises not to trust anyone anymore. Later, he goes to the training grounds aiming to join there. At the gate, he meets a girl named Toto. She says that he isn't allowed in, because he doesn't have a letter of invitation and looks suspicious. He tries to convince her by telling her his story, but she says that the only way he can pass is by beating her in a duel. He accepts but finds himself in trouble when he realizes he is too exhausted to fight.^[76]

After the duel, he ends up in the middle of town, with no money, no food, and no water. He is then found by some "old friends". The Nando Brothers had come to the Reim Empire from Balbadd to open a casino and raise a fortune. They are now considered wealthy. Alibaba is surprised to see them, but can't really move, so he asks for food, and they take him to their casino to eat. After he arrives there, he eats to his heart's content while hearing about slaves living in the Reim Empire. Then, from the other side of the Casino, an old man is causing a commotion. He had bet everything he had, including his clothes, and he had lost. Alibaba doesn't recognize him but he recognizes the girl next to him, Toto.^[77]

The man strikes a conversation with Alibaba and asks him if he could have a rematch with Toto. Alibaba accepts, and they proceeds to battle. Alibaba seems to have the upper hand, until Toto displayed a special ability, Qi Gong Sword.^[78] Her sword lit up, and Magoi flew into it. She displays the ability of Magoi Manipulation and she reveals that she and the old man, who had introduced himself as Shambal Ramal, are from the Yambala Gladiators. The battle is getting a bit more serious, and the stage is getting banged up. Alibaba is having a hard time dealing with her. He concentrates afterwards and displays some of the swordsmanship that Sharrkan had taught him. As he cuts Toto's armor which reveals her naked body, Shambal stops the duel and accepts Alibaba into the Colosseum.^[79]

Later, Shambal performs an acupuncture on Alibaba and tells him that there is two kinds of Magoi in his body. Alibaba is also told that if he doesn't master them and combine them, then his flesh would rot, and he would die. Because Alibaba has no money to pay for the treatment, Shambal tells him to go in the arena to pay them for their service. Before he knows it, he is thrown into a gladiator match with a giant beast, Garda. In the Colosseum's fights only normal sword is allowed.^[80] Alibaba is quicker, more versatile, and more cunning than his opponent. He slashes and slashes the monster, but it has layers of muscle protecting itself. He goes in for a stab and got injured instead. He obtains several bruises, and Garda bits his arm, which then becomes unusable in the match.^[81] During the match, he remembers Kassim and what they did to win against adults without weapon while living in slums. Then, he tricks the beast into running into a statue and uses a spear from that same statue to stabs Garda in the jaw. After that, he strikes it in Garda's arm and gains the upper hand. Then, Alibaba once again gains the upper hand and wins his first battle. Afterwards, Shambal explains to him the occurrences of the battle and the fusion of his Magoi.^[82]

5 days later, Alibaba is sitting along with Garda. Toto comes in and asks why Garda is there. Alibaba explains that the prize from the match was so high that he couldn't think of another way to spend it. He then adds, that if it been him, he would do the same. Alibaba then takes a cigar and tries to smoke, but ends up coughing. After that, Shambal comes in and changes Alibaba's bandage. He asks him if he's aware of the identity of the other Magoi within him. Alibaba replies that that are things he has to do. He continues saying that there was a country he couldn't protect. He feels as if Kassim entrusted him with this power to not leave this country in other people's hands. He concludes his monologue with saying that getting back the country he lost is what he has to do now. He than thanks Shambal for his continued guidance.^[83]

War ArcEdit

He is seen on the Fanalis ship of the Reim Empire heading to Magnostadt for the war. He helps Mu Alexius, when Rohroh accidentally throws him. Then, alone, he voices his question toward Aladdin, how is he doing.^[84] Later, when the war officially started, Alibaba watches the battle from Reim's fleet and recognizes Aladdin's magic, Ugo. He worries about him, realizing that his friend is participating in the war.^[85] Some time after, when Mu enters in his Djinn Equip form and is about to kill Aladdin along with destroying Magnostadt with his Extreme Magic, Alibaba interferes and blocks Mu's javelin with his sword, warning Mu that his sword can even cut Mu's Metal Vessel.^[86] Muron Alexius asks Alibaba if he understands what he has done, making the whole Reim Empire into his enemy. Alibaba apologizes, justifying himself by saying he couldn't watch as his important friend for whom he was looking, was cut into two.^[87]

After that, Scheherazade appears and orders Mu to retreats all troops. She then asks Aladdin, Alibaba and Titus Alexius for a talk. They board a small ship and sail to a neutral territory. Alibaba says he thought she would take them to Reim's fleet. Before any serious talk takes place, Aladdin tells him that he was surprised because of Alibaba's sudden appearance. Alibaba says he was even more surprised, not only because Aladdin was fighting, but also because of frightening Mu's Djinn Equip. Then, he notices that Aladdin grew taller, and seem more sharper and calm than before. He looks offended when Aladdin concludes that Alibaba didn't change at all, and shows him he has more dignify and looks like a real gentleman now. In the end, Aladdin thinks that the only thing that changed about his friend is his ahoge, which is bigger now.^[88]

Later, Aladdin is surprised that Alibaba didn't meet Scheherazade in the Reim Empire. Alibaba explains it was because she would find out he's Metal Vessel user, like Judar before, so he decided not to do it. Scheherazade says she wouldn't, as she's only one of clones of real Scheherazade's body. When she reveals her real age, 268, Aladdin and Alibaba both reacts with a great astonishment. She then asks Aladdin to tell her about Matal Mogamett's intentions.^[89] Aladdin tells them about The Dark Spot, Al-Thamen's wish and another world, Alma Toran. Alibaba isn't able to understand what Aladdin is saying. Aladdin states he knows and explains that Alma Toran's history was shown to him through the Wisdom of Solomon in Balbadd. Aladdin continues saying he never told anyone about it to not worry them. Alibaba thinks Aladdin keeps saying weird things, but it's not about Alma Toran. He takes his shoulders and says he should have told him about it much earlier, and reminds him he was the one who told Alibaba that they will look for the solution together. He then recalls when Aladdin hit him in the head when he was in state of great confusion back in Balbadd, and does the same. He screams it doesn't matter if it's complicated or dangerous, because Aladdin doesn't have to worry about it alone. Alibaba promises to worry and think for the solution together with him. Aladdin is touched by his words, takes Alibaba's hand and thanks him.^[90]

Next, the four of them goes to Reim's fleet. When Scheherazade is talking with Titus in private, Alibaba asks Aladdin who he is. His little friend explains that Titus is a friend he made in Magnostadt, someone he can relate to. Then, Scheherazade asks Alibaba and Aladdin closer to her and announces that she will retreat her army, meaning that the war with Magnostadt ended. As she says it, one of soldiers comes and says the messenger from the Kou Empire has arrived^[91]

Alibaba then watches as Titus talks with Aladdin about what he decided to do with his remaining life. Then, the four of them notices Black Djinn above Magnostadt. Alibaba and Aladdin flies on Aladdin's Turban. He asks his friend what's wrong with this country, since something like this happened. He mentions Kassim and asks if weak people here are, similarly to him, forced to think of themselves as trash by the mere fact that they're born. When Aladdin answers positively, he says he can't forgive them. He then notices that Black Djinn, who moves with a great speed, aren't headed toward Reim's army. Aladdin says that their true objective is Kouha Ren.^[92]

When Kouha has problems with the army of Black Djinn, Alibaba, fully Djinn Equipped with Amon, comes to aid him.^[93] He slashes the Black Djinn but they keep regenerating. He then recalls his conversation with Aladdin, who told him about Magnostadt's way of doing. Seeing even more Black Djinn, Aladdin noted they're similar to that of Alma Toran. Alibaba then Djinn Equipped, saying that he's faster in that form and it's not the time to save up his Magoi. He added that he'll stop the Black Djinn. Back in the present, Alibaba changes his sword from Amol Saika to Amol Dherrsaiqa and fires a powerful attack, burning the Black Djinn with just a single thrust.^[94]

After finishing off some of them, 30 more Black Djinn come. He starts summoning his Extreme Magic, telling Aladdin that he'll lose a lot of Magoi, but it's not the time to keep hiding his trump card. Aladdin reassures him he will help him restore his Magoi with his Heat Magic. Alibaba exclaims that he will defeat Al-Thamen and the Black Djinn, and starts his attack. However, before he can release his powers, Kouen Ren and his Household interfere in the fight. Meanwhile, Alibaba is watching what happens, with the Metal Vessel Symbol still behind him, and is greatly confused, saying "Eh? Eh...? Eh!!?".^[95]

AbilitiesEdit

Royal Swordplay

Alibaba is an extremely strong and talented swordsman. At a very young age, Alibaba was trained in Royal Swordplay. He has also learned other sword styles from Sharrkan making him a more rounded swordsman. He was able to copy the exact moves Sharrkan did on him, to Toto. After his training in Reim, he was able to fight and wound Reim's strongest swordsman, Mu Alexius, showing his vast improvement of skill.

Advanced Intelligence

Alibaba was given a high level of education possible in the Royal Palace of Balbadd after the king adopted him. He knows difficult languages like Toran Language and possesses high knowledge.

Magoi Manipulation

Alibaba is learning how to manipulate his magoi. Due to having two types of Magoi inside him (his own Magoi and that of Kassim, who had passed on his larger Magoi to Alibaba following his death) it has been a bit more difficult for him due to the possible risk of both Magoi rejecting each other resulting in Alibaba's death. At the end of a fight for his life in the colosseum with Alibaba's conviction, Alibaba's Magoi fused with that of Kassim's.

DjinnEdit

Amon

Amon is a Fire Djinn that Alibaba received after he captured the Seventh Dungeon, Amon, along with Aladdin and Morgiana. Amon is the Djinn of the Stern and Dignified Spirits of Etiquette.

HouseholdEdit

The only member of Alibaba's Household is Morgiana. She uses his Djinn, Amon, to power the flames of her Household Vessel, Amol Selseira.

Metal VesselEdit

Amol Saika (Amon's Sword)

Alibaba's Metal Vessel was a small knife, Amol Saika, which he kept at his side. During the fighting in Balbadd the knife was broken so Alibaba changed his Metal Vessel to a short sword which he received from Sinbad, who got it from Alibaba's father, Rashid Saluja. Alibaba calls it the Sword of Melting. It has the ability to produce and to manipulate fire.

Amol Dherrsaiqa (Amon's Roaring Flame Sword)

After using the second method of Djinn Weapon Equip Alibaba summons and concentrates a large amount of flames around it. This turns it into a vortex of flames capable of incinerating everything it touches instantly.

• Wall of Flames

For both forms, Alibaba can create a wall of flames to stop his enemies from approaching him.

• Immunity To Fire

In both forms, the sword is completely immune to any type of fire or heat. If it is attacked by it, it will completely absorb it and strengthen itself.

Djinn EquipEdit

Alibaba has mastered the ability to Djinn Equip. In his full Djinn Equip Alibaba has flame-like protrusions from his arms and legs and a third eye on his forehead. While in this mode, Alibaba becomes very powerful, able to cut down three Black Djinn in one slash.

Alibaba is able to use Extreme Magic in his Full Djinn Equip form, even though he hasn't had the opportunity to show it.

Djinn Weapon EquipEdit

To achieve Djinn Weapon Equip, Alibaba burns his arms with Amon's flames. Then he starts to burn his entire body. He keeps using more and more flames, until he becomes the flames himself. Alibaba's knife becomes a large black sword, which is also called Sword of Amon. As Alibaba's Djinn Weapon Equip progresses, his arms change into a black metallic substance.

He has also learned the second method of Djinn Weapon Equip where the weapon retains it's original shape using less Magoi and allows him to better use his sword skills and Amon's flame abilities. In this form his attack range is slightly larger so if his sword doesn't hit the opponent the heat produced around the sword is able to slice and enhance the range of the attack.

AladdinEdit

Alibaba's best friend. At first Alibaba only wanted to become close to Aladdin because of his Djinn Ugo. He wanted his help in conquering a dungeon. However, through the journey, he and Aladdin truly became close friends. The two are very loyal to each other, and Alibaba occasionally feels insecure without Aladdin around to help him. Aladdin often encourages Alibaba to do as he wants to, rather than letting somebody else dictate his fate. Aladdin is also Alibaba's 'clubbing buddy', and they often go to brothels together to fool around with girls.

MorgianaEdit

When they first met, Alibaba originally thought that Morgiana was very cute and thinks so till now. He was the one who officially released her from slavery, causing her to be very grateful and loyal towards him. Unlike others, Alibaba does not fear Morgiana's strength but instead admires it, also occasionally making jokes about it. He also seems to have a good grasp on her personality; even when he makes fun of her, he knows that she will not hurt him and is usually right. He is usually clueless on her feelings when he starts on other girls, causing her to puff her cheeks and stomp the ground angrily, giving a clue that Morgiana has special feelings for him. Although he is oblivious to her feelings, he is shown to care deeply for her. When Morgiana was heavily injured, Alibaba is shown to be desperate, carrying her and even crying for fear that she'll die.

Hakuryuu RenEdit

Hakuryuu was originally told by Sinbad that he could learn a lot from Alibaba. Hakuryuu at first thought that Alibaba was an irresponsible, rather frivolous person, but later learns that he is wrong. Alibaba considers Hakuryuu to be a close friend and was shocked at his behavior when he beheaded Aum Madaura. He feels that Hakuryuu highly resembles Kassim. Hakuryuu leaves shortly after, and Alibaba, feeling guilty, tries to go after him but is stopped by Morgiana. Hakuryuu is deeply in love with Morgiana, and holds a slight grudge towards Alibaba because of Morgiana's feelings for him.

KassimEdit

Alibaba's childhood friend and later on adopted brother. Kassim, as the oldest child within the Saluja household, felt obligated to take care of both Alibaba and his own little sister Miriam. He did so by thievery, while Alibaba tried to earn money honestly. Because of Kassim's pride, his admiration for Alibaba's chivalrous nature turned to a bitter resentment, which presented itself in the form of manipulation. Kassim believed himself to always be one of the "bad guys," who could never afford, nor hope, to align himself with an honest lifestyle. This way of thinking, combined with Alibaba's natural naive tendencies, led to an array of twisted turns in their relationship, resulting in some of Alibaba's most significant ethical redefinitions. As of Kassim's death, Alibaba and Kassim's magoi have mixed, and Kassim's existence and leadership skills(however warped in purpose) remain a constant theme in Alibaba's life.

Kougyoku RenEdit

During his stay in Sindria, Alibaba talks to Kougyoku for the first time. She reveals confidential secrets to Alibaba, despite not knowing him well. Alibaba relates to her due to her similar birth from a prostitute, and low status in the Kou Empire palace. They become friends on Kougyoku's offer, and she chides him for being so formal. When he reintroduces himself and shakes her hand, there were white Rukh flying around them.

SinbadEdit

Alibaba admired Sinbad and wanted to be like him after reading his stories. Alibaba didn't seem to like the way Sinbad was leading everyone in the Fog Troupe and felt insecure and inferior about himself. Sinbad's constant encouraging advice gives Alibaba the courage he needs to save Balbadd.

SharrkanEdit

Sharrkan's his Sindria fencing teacher, and Alibaba has a great respect for him, besides being occasionally drinking buddies. Alibaba, when fighting against other fencers, often compares their skills with Sharrkan's.

TotoEdit

Alibaba was tested against Toto to see his skills, and ended up embarrassing her, by making the top of her armor fall off. After that, she held a deep grudge for him, shown when she tried to give her instructor an extra large needle during Alibaba's acupuncture. However, during his Colosseum match, she showed concern for him as he was fighting. After that match, she seemed to have grown respect for Alibaba.

BrothersEdit

Alibaba's relationship with Ahbmad Saluja and Sahbmad Saluja was originally quite poor when he was a child, due to his half-commoner descent, low birth from a prostitute and that he was taken from the slums. The two brothers originally looked down on him, and saw him as an intruder unworthy of a prince. Ahbmad remained distant and never considered Alibaba to be legitimate royalty, while Sahbmad eventually grew closer with Alibaba. Ahbmad always looked down on Alibaba, while Sahbmad admired Alibaba for his bravery, reasonableness, and cleverness, and relied and trusted him to recuperate Balbadd's poor state, and to reign as king.

TriviaEdit

• His name is based on "Ali Baba" (Arabic: علي بابا‎ Alii Baabaa), the main protagonist of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves from One Thousand and One Nights.
• He likes trading and his weakness is that he grows fat easily. His special skill is fencing.^[96]
• He claims that his type is “the girl who became his girlfriend”, but up until now, Alibaba has never once had a girlfriend.^[97]
• He wrote his autobiography in secret. Although he would read "The Adventures of the Great and Handsome Treasure Hunter Alibaba Saluja" out loud in a great voice.^[98]
• In early designs, Alibaba was supposed to be a gladiator, with a quieter and inexpressive behaviour. Ohtaka discarded the idea because, according to her, she's better creating more expressive characters.
• His character song is called, "One Step Further".
